With our demotion confirmed the ST 18 game deal just got a bit better. We will likely all only be attending 6 or 7 games this year so next year more than half of our home games will already be covered.

Does anyone know what happens now? Ann promised 18 home games for season tickets and this won't happen now. There maybe some who throw the toys and demand a refund but hopefully this doesn't happen and Hearts benefit from the extra income.

You'll get money off next season's ticket depending how many games that might be.

We've been told we'll get the full amount of games, even if some roll forward into the season after.

I think the promise was 18 games even if it takes you into the next season to get them.

That 's good, I must have missed that part. Either way the cash is in Hearts account and it's staying there.

As others have said, it’ll roll over in to a discount. Some will take the discount and others will not. I won’t be taking the discount, and if I’m forced to, I’ll donate the saving to FoH.

I think it’s important that we don’t have a situation where those who decide not to take the discount make out that those who do are somehow ‘bad supporters’ or whatever, though.

I’ve upgraded to PR this season, but it wasn’t that long ago, that I was only able to go to games because my mate had a spare ticket and he let me use it. I simply couldn’t afford it at the time. Everyone’s situation will be different.

We need to find the right balance between fund raising and making sure we don’t alienate those who either simply don’t want to, or can’t afford to. After all, it’s supposed to just be a case of paying for a ticket to go and see your local football team. For some supporters that is all it has ever been, and that is all it will ever be. There’s sod all wrong with that.

Good post, Doofster 👍      It is important that we acknowledge  the huge different financial situations  fans can find themselves in -  we're all Hearts fans (apart from the undercover Hobos !!), and there is strength in unity/inclusivity.

Can I give a wee shout out for @Dagger is Back 's wonderful "donate a ticket to future jambos" scheme ?    It may not be feasible for a wee while until we see how/when fans will be getting back in to Tynecastle ..... but when it happens, it would be good if fans on here can consider it when they've got some spare cash.

Thanks. Yep, @Dagger Is Back’s scheme is fantastic. I can’t remember if I donated to it or not during admin. I will do this season though.

Oh great. Even less money for the club.

I’ll not be taking advantage of any free games. The club needs the money.

Thanks for the tag LS and for the kind words. We're definitely still open for business and if Jambos want to buy extra home tickets and want us to find homes for them then we'd be very happy to help. I have some support now from a poster who is our undercover agent in the dark side of Edinburgh who has been tasked with the job of infiltrating the other side of town.

Sorry matey I can't remember either but would be delighted to help with any tickets you care to donate during the season. We've had a bundle of STs donated already this year and will post highlighting this campaign later on as things become a bit clearer re fans being allowed back into stadiums

Not sure that’s the way to look at. I won’t be taking the discount if possible but anyone who can’t afford to shouldn’t be made to feel bad for it. Last part not aimed directly at you but if we go with the attitude that fans are taking money from the club that’s how it looks.  Way I see it we are basically buying a season and a half ticket over the next two seasons, no real net loss to the club imo. Not taking the discount is extra donations.

They need to put an end to holding the seats now. There's people waiting to buy new season tickets who can't get anything decent together.

The club should also be able to move around season ticket seats by one or two seats either way to free up blocks of seats.

I hope the club start to think a bit “out the box” to attract the season ticket holders who, for whatever reason, have yet to renew.  I know a few older guys who have not renewed for health reasons because they want to be in control of when they start attending again, rather than the club or government.

For instance, a “retainer” option for this coming season, whereby fans can make a one off payment to retain their seat for either the full season, or half a season.

Also, a virtual season ticket, again for a full or half season.  To watch all the games at home.  Its imperative we get our full fanbase paying to watch the home games.  PPV will obviously be another option, with an appropriate markup.  This can be wrapped up with Hearts TV.

Perhaps a combination of these.

Actually you’re right. It might be the difference in affording a ticket or not for some for next season.

No holiday for us this year. So looking forward to Hearts playing again even if it’s just listening to the games online and watching the highlights. Getting fans into stadiums will be one hell of a headache so we just have to be patient and keep on supporting our team financially.

So-  I must have missed something, we don't get to use Murrayfield?  You can distance better there.

My  understanding is  even with distancing , you can't shout, as it spreads droplets.  Well who is not going to be shouting.  So I am not confident of any crowd return

this year.

More will go in the general sale once the deadline has expired for people who haven’t renewed yet

wonder how they will work it if the initial capacity is less than how many season tickets there are. Not sure if costs for murrayfield means we are unlikely to use

Once there are indications that we might actually get into a game, then the number will certainly increase.

I've got no intention of taking any rebate or discount for last season but didn't see any offered. To be fair I wasn't looking. Was there an offer ?

What’s getting into a game got to do with it? You buy a season ticket to financially support Hearts (at least that’s what I do), seeing a game is a bonus ‘icing on the cake’!

Great post mate. Also worth noting the guy or girl who lives right round the corner from Tynie and can justify a season ticket and going every week as there is no additional cost of travel can obviously do so easier than some fans who live in different cities maybe wouldn't get the benefit of a season ticket as it is not always viable. However those fans may contribute more to FoH so it may be swings and roundabouts.

That was a top post by yourself and it is nice to see someone acknowledge that there may be Hearts fans out there in dire straits, maybe havent attended a game for 5 or 6 years due to circumstances but still love our club as much as folk whos arse is ingrained into their seat.

I usually only get to maybe 10-12 games a season as every Hearts game is an away game apart from Dens or Tannadice. Really wish I lived closer as a ST would be 100%. Maybe in the near future i will be in a position to cover all costs involved and if so, will be there every week home and away.

We are all in it together, now more than ever.

Good post by yourself. 👍

I probably (definitely) won’t get to all the games on my ticket. I can’t justify spending that amount of time away from my kids at the age they are.

I’ll offer use of my ticket to others when I don’t go.

We are, as you rightly said, all in this together.

Looking at the shambles with Premiership teams virtual tickets, Hearts now have 2 months to get that side of the season tickets bang on. Watch what the other teams get wrong and make sure ours is pretty slick.
