People can say what they like about younger royals, but the Queen has been as great servant to this country and has never let it down. I have been aware of her all my life, she is slightly older than I, but I saw her as a driver in the ATS, I saw her in person on many occasiions, and was quite close on many, can't say she was very sociable, but we both knew our respective places.She has her job and has done it reasonably well under the circumstance, I suspect she is easier to take if you view her as I do, she got her job given to her, while I had to work to get and keep mine, but I am also sure neither of us would happily exchange our positions. I don’t get the love in though, they do a good job and the Queen makes a lot of people happy and is reassuring just now so fair play. There’s sceptics in absolutely everything: I bet she’s missing her children and grandchildren too knowing if she or her husband gets it then it’s game over. She didn’t have to make the speech either, no as if she had millions paid for it.
