Yeah, a speach written by a publicist and spoken by a 90 odd year old who has absolutely no knowledge or power to do hee haw to help is reassuring right enough.

Malinga the Swinga

She has been through ot before in WW2!and although she has detractors, thought speech was delivered excellently and with feeling. People can say what they like about younger royals, but the Queen has been as great servant to this country and has never let it down.

The pre-recorded message, written by the Queen with her private secretary Sir Edward Young, was filmed by a single cameraman wearing protective equipment. All other technical staff were in another room.

She was put into a job she shouldn't have had, not her or her parents fault the system was  screwed up by her uncle who abandoned it for love or lust. I have been aware of her all my life, she is slightly older than I, but I saw her as a driver in the ATS, I saw her in person on many occasiions, and was quite close  on many, can't say she was very sociable, but we both knew our respective places. She has her job and has done it reasonably well under the circumstance, I suspect she is easier to take if you view her as I do, she got her job given to her, while I had to work to get and keep mine, but I am also sure neither of us would happily exchange our positions.

I don't mind the queen. It's her staunch supporters that give me the fear. The ones who queue up for weddings and that. Terrifying.

******* thought this was an RIP thread!

That would be a waste of a couple of days mourning holidays. Not the right time for her to die.

how many face lifts does a woman need to have her vagina on her neck? Must have a right issue with pubes on her chin.

It was a good speech

Better though, if she’d thought it up herself.

Who done her make up and hair etc  ?

Pretty difficult and observe social distancing at the same time.

I think she should be sacked for breaking the rules along with her heir to the throne  who also broke the rules.

After the events of today we have to be even handed.

I know they are 'special people'

What got me was one of the Royal weddings at Windsor (I think).

The cops spent the week before it chasing all the homeless who sleep outdoors off  the street then letting all the royal loving ******s take their place 'sleeping on the street'

Talk about double standards.☺

Bob for King.

If America voted for Trump I am sure if I run for King I will or at least could be given the job in steady old U.K.. In the past there have been. a few people on this forum who would like to have had the opportunity to "crown" me.

I like the queen and the royal family, I don’t get the hate.  I don’t get the love in though, they do a good job and the Queen makes a lot of people happy and is reassuring just now so fair play.  There’s sceptics in absolutely everything:  I bet she’s missing her children and grandchildren too knowing if she or her husband gets it then it’s game over.  She didn’t have to make the speech either, no as if she had millions paid for it.  Like the girl that had to resign tonight and people ripping Boris, gies a rest, it’s like my other half listening to the news sitting on Facebook, yoh can guarantee she’s sitting there waiting for something to argue against or rip into something she’s not got a scoob about.

Yeah this.
It’s much more weird to actually like them than not tbh.
