True. It was bit tongue in cheek really. I can understand Stendel wanting him back as he is the only goal threat we have even if only half fit.

The brass ****ing neck of the guy, eh.

Touching on your post above. Washington might be available for the Hibs & Sheep matches. Admittedly, sub. But seemingly close to a return too.

Pretty sure I saw a handsome Austrian man kicking about the dugout on Wednesday too.

Good news although it will take a while for him to get up to speed. He has been out for a while. Look how Halkett has been since he returned !!!

been here before

Presumably if Naismith plays on Saturday he'll miss the games against Hibs on boxing day, Aberdeen on the 29th and probably the cup game against Airdrie.

If Naisy plays do we think it will be him or Michael Smith as captain?

I would give it to Smith as he has more chance of lasting the 90 mins.

It doesn't matter who is captain when Naismith plays as he barks orders at everyone irrespective of who has the armband.

If he can't get fit and stay fit, we should be looking to move him on. He can dick Killie about for a few seasons playing 10-15 games a season whilst topping up his cap total.

Think he will be on the bench tomorrow, let him loose on boxing day hopefully.

**** me this place is cheery eh? Best player, major goal threat, leader, possible first game under new manager. Cause for joy? Nope.

”He’ll get injured again...4 year contract, blah blah Levein”

Ill be glad to see him

I agree and he will only be brought on if we are struggling and go behind.

It's the Levein legacy. If Naismith and his injury prone colleagues can manage to stay fit and play a few games on the trot them maybe the mood will change.

I can say with a reasonable amount of certainty that Steven Naismith does not want to be injured.  I, as a Hearts fan, do not want our best player to be injured.

Really hope he's back.  Really hope he's ready to be back.

Naismith in the team on Wednesday, with the start we had, we'd have had a good shout of winning.  He's unbelievably important to us.

Hope he is back and i think he will fit well into Stendel's system, our biggest goal threat, i find myself watchin him now through my fingers though almost waiting for him to pull up, hopefully he makes it and is well, HHGH.

That's kinda where I'm starting to get with him these days.  But I reckon once Scotland are papped out of the Euros by Israel or Norway/Serbia I think he will retire from the international scene.

It’s a tricky one. Such an important game tomorrow.

Hopefully an option. Unsurprising not many considering it.

Managed three in a row recently so no reason why he can’t do it now.

See where you're coming from, but reckon we need to be winning games against the likes of Hamilton. All form goes out the window when playing Hibs, we could be superstars for 90 mins against them and it wouldn't surprise me. No pointing saving him just for that

Tomorrow is still a massive game for us. Will make a big difference if Naismith is in the team. Start him up front with Wighton and Mulraney supporting him.

Prefer to keep him for Wednesday tbh.
