And in a nutshell, there is the problem. We had 6 days between the St Mirren game and the killie game. We didn’t start preparing for the game till two days before the match. It shows.

When was Uche injured during the week? That would have involved a complete rethink in how we would play.

I tend to disagree that McLean is as bad as is painted on here. But understandable comments given the general mood.

Why Uche being injured means a complete re-think in how Levein sets up is surely part of the problem then?

We should have a settled formation and style, and injured players should come in and sit out as needed.

Levein said Friday, which would explain, if we had only actual started working on plans for killie the day before, why we looked so unorganised. 2 days to prepare ourselves for any game isn’t enough.

Yeah am in the same boat regarding MacLean, not the worst.

Weakened Offender

MacLean is another in a growing list of experienced players who talk a good game in the media yet deliver very little on the pitch.

It's really quite simple.  There are two elements in play: there are the fans and there are the players.  The former pay to be there and the latter are paid to be there.  Seems fairly obvious where the responsibility lies in terms of generating something that even approaches excitement.
