What a player we have on our hands.

Very intelligent player and calm under pressure. Bossing the midfield.

Him and Whelan could be exceptional.

Star!!!

He's been excellent, and deserves to be starting every week just now. His eye for a pass was sorely missed last week.

Agreed, it's a shame he'll be subbed for Whelan instead of the undroppable Clare.

Still, his time will come, what potential ...

Him and Hickey ❤️

We need to be playing these youngsters every week! Not them all at once but alternating based on performance. That bit of skill by Irving was wow! Hickey is an old head on young shoulders! Where’s Harry!!

Think Damour will be off for Whelan as on a booking.

irving keeps his place for me!

I think the midfield tonight is showing far more cohesion as a group and if they continue this they will pose a major threat to the better sides. Irving has been first class but he’s not alone there.

more of the same 2nd half please 😎

I really hope we keep Hickey for another 3/4 years because that kid has millions on his head! He’s a star! Never seen a kid to be so composed at 17 (just)

Some of his passing today was great and certainly seems to have a little more strength to him which is needed to play in the middle of the park.

Had a quieter second half but we sat back more so understandable.

A fantastic talent, if he can learn from Whelan and the other senior pros around him then he will play at whatever level he chooses to.

Re your point about the 2nd half. Thought it was actually quite mature beyond his years. Positionally never caught out. Just sat in did his job.

It hurts to say it but I think he’s the player we thought Cochrane was going to be.

Cochrane broke into the first team at 16. He isn’t 18 yet, is he? Time is on his side. A loan deal might be good for him this year.

Great touch and composure. Can see and make a pass. One wee concern is that he seems a bit one paced. Hopefully being young they can work on that with him.

Great game tonight. However one thing that I noticed was in the first half he got into a great position to possibly score if he'd just wrapped his foot round the ball, but he took a few too many touches to get it on to his left foot and he ended up losing it. A little one footed, but that'll get vetter with age and experience.

He'll be some player though with guys like Naismith to learn from.
