Is a deal close? What about with Whelan too?

If we could make his loan a permanent transfer he would be a good long term option. I wonder if he’s come to an financial agreement with Cardiff given this looked off then back on again.

Very decent footballer,  he is very good at winning the ball back and bringing others into the game. Would allow others to play with very good protection. He can also play football and have some pace, Loic would thrive in the SPFL

Heard about this 3 weeks ago and posted on here which went pretty much unnoticed. I'm still being told the Whelan deal is done. All i was told was he has personal things to sort out down south, and he may not actually move up here as his family are very much settled

For the love of god just stop it, please!

Time to ditch his family then.  They are usually nothing but trouble anyway.  My wife of 45 years wouldn't know her Rudi from her Zibby.  Should have been red carded years ago.

Be like Barca up top with two dm's playing.

With a back 4, that gives us a fluid attacking 5 forward players.

Liquid football will have to be renamed to accommodate our new brand of all conquering sexy football.

I like the term  blitzkrieg football, but that comes with a bit baggage.....

3 at the back I'd think. Those two in the midfield and 3 up front. I like it as well :D

Playing without a goalie is a bold move

I think the Huns were the first to use that style, but they went all defensive after Normandy.

Yeah, their manager lost the plot tactically and they suffered from horrendous injury problems.  Ended up having to rely too much on youth players.

If it's Damour or Whelan, Damour for me, more creative, mobile and a better age. Whelan would seem more of a quick fix IMO. It is vital we get someone in asap though. Djoum, Lee, Edwards and with Haring injured leaves us short in there. The combined wages may be a problem if it's both Damour and Whelan. We also have a good selection of youngsters to rotate and one could start in midfield every week.

Whelan makes sense in that our youngsters will be another year older and is a replacement for Haring. Damour is more in the Djoum mold and is his replacement.

Damour and Whelan would make us a very very strong side this season if we can keep all our top players fit

Surely the budget for both if Damour is a loan

Washington stays fit, uche Will improve with Naismith in there. Agreed another striker I'd like but with Damour in there with Whelan you've got a very good side. Uche, Washington and Mclean will get goals with decent service
