As long as the paperwork is in order it's a good draw on paper

Yes

Might be last year of current deal

United won't be easy. East Fife if away could be tricky as we know when we played Raith last season.

Cowdenbeath and Stenny shouldn't cause many problems.

Should be winning all 4 games. Utd at that stage of the season may be a close one though.

I seem to think that they work it that the top seeded team (us) plays the next two ranked teams at home and the bottom two away.

Which would mean Utd at home

Good draw, utd will be tough but we were always going to have one tough championship team to play

Overall happy with that group. Very winnable for us. Just await the fixtures to know what away days we will be getting

Any idea when the fixtures come out? Any longer than one day and I’ll be raging

Never been to Stenny or East Fife so guaranteed at least one new ground to visit.  Fingers crossed we get Cowdenbeath at home so I can tick two grounds of the list.

Think that's correct.

Yes. United at home.

Though just United are seeded so East Fife, Cowdenbeath, Stenhousemuir all unseeded.

Thats a good draw but Ill miss not getting in until 2am having journeyed up to Elgin/Peterhead or Cove again.

According to the satnav from Edinburgh...

Dundee- 63 miles away. About an hour and a half travelling.

Stenhousemuir- 30 miles. 45 min away.

Cowdenbeath- 20 miles. 40 mins away.

East Fife- 36 miles. 1 hour away

Given the dates its essentially summer football with hopefully decent weather.

The games will be cheap enough to get into along with a reasonable amount of LPs up for grabs and at least 2 of them at home.

Cant wait to see the excuses for not having enough LPs if we get through and draw Rangers/Celtic/Hubz in the later stages.

Not sure we are in a position to say stuff like that given our SC draw this season!

Just had a look back. Last seasons draw was made on 25th May & fixtures were released by clubs 4th June. So don’t hol your breath for a quick decision on this

Monday 8th June, maybe...

No hurry I suppose, but it's always nice to get things in the calendar

Going by last year that would seem about right. I would like to know as soon as possible for potentially needing to organise time off work if midweek away days

Certainly took more than a week last year.

Dundee United last at home likely. Cowdenbeath first away

My immediate thoughts.

I'm sure Levein will set Phoodle straight on how he is expected to play

Bit meh about going to Cowdenbeath or Methil. Cowdenbeath probably shades it for me. Never done either.

Haven't been to Stenny before, I'd enjoy that. Not arse about United, been before and never seen us concede. :)

Possibly although I’d rather we start with Dundee United. Could really open the group up for the other 3

Some serious issues if we don't accumulate 12 points from that group.

That's a definite.

Dundee Utd at home will be our last fixture. Probably on a Sunday afternoon.

Sorry, this is a thread talking about Hearts participation in next seasons Betfred League Cup.

This isn't about how the Hearts support is scum. You won't like this one.

Well, it's all about opinions isn't it?

@Boab is usually a pretty helpful chap actually. I wonder what went wrong on this particular occasion?

You're on ignore for a reason. If you reply to this post, then I'll be asking the Mods to take action against you for trolling.

Thanks.

You have no idea how much I wanted to change my username to Jambo_in_HamiIton (note the capital i in place of the small L) then quote you.

But then where does that leave me?
