I suppose that if he was to take the job he may lose some of his "pay-off" from MKD. He could well be on more per week just now than he would at ST M.

In effect he could be worse off if he took the gig

I felt the midden was perfect for him.

Annie might have just realised the best candidate for the job is available? Another lightbulb moment??

Can’t wait to see the club he feels he deserves.

Dont get me wrong he did a grand job in the championship but I really don’t think he’s above a job like St Mirren. Maybe Dundee Utd though who are a bigger club

Interestingly in this article he said he had an offer to leave Hearts prior to MK Dons.

If you have a read of the article above I think it describes why he doesn't want it tbh.

The whole talk of budget not being realistic to targets etc

St Mitten aren't a big club so I'm not surprised Ross took the opportunity off of a great season to move as he knew he couldn't recreate it this year.

The job has been available for a few weeks now so Robbies agent has probably found out some of the details and he's said it's not for him

Robbies next job is important for him as he's still inexperienced and if he flops in 2 jobs (no matter the circumstances) people will be less likely to take a chance on him again

Sensible decision.  He relegated MK so it would be a massive gamble going into a promoted club that will struggle.  Killie after Clarke leaves or similar would suit him better.

That moment has been and gone

Delusions of grandeur knocking back St. Mirren. Must think he’s destined for greater things after working his magic in Milton Keynes.

Doncaster Rovers job now available, League One, Fergie Jnr resigned. Wonder if RN has been lined up for that job instead?

Couldn’t see him returning to Scotland unless it was to top 6 club. He’ll want to prove himself in the glorious English lower leagues ?

Think Doncaster will have been impressed with his work at MK Dons?

Plenty managers have a poor spell at a club and get rehired. Some have made a career out of it.

He was lined up for Partick Thistle had Archibald left. AA had intimated he would leave if they got relegated then changed his mind when it became a reality .

He performed miserably, h is back in Scotland with his tail between his legs.

Re-hired guys tend to be players with playing history in those leagues or shown a spark of charisma.

RN did not walk or talk the job.

Very much this. He needs a job to prove himself.

Bottom 6 is dog eat dog to avoid relegation. Championship is dog eat dog .

Football management is not easy, he has no rights to be choosy.

I will always be grateful for the part Robbie played in getting our club back where it belongs with a runaway championship season as a rookie manager, and wish him all the best.

If Stevie Clark wasn't too proud to take the Killie job then Robbie shouldn't be too choosey either. Even Lennon took a step backwards at Hibs and he's had a decent season.

Touch of the Pressley's here. Thinks he's too good to manage an SPL Club up here.....not that he was ever actually offered the job!!
