Can't see the point.  Video was used to unfairly uphold a terrible decision involving Hearts, and used to override a decision (correct) involving Celtic.  And many others...

Totally agree. VAR has been pretty hopeless in Serie A this season.

Think the difference between the Chelsea-Arsenal game and the Brighton-Palace game on Monday was that the referee in Chelsea game clearly indicated (by sticking his finger in his ear!) that he was reviewing with VAR. If supporters at game can see that (or it is shown on big screen at ground) they know what is happening. We had no idea at the Brighton-Palace game that VAR was being considered by the referee when Murray handballed (sorry - scored!) at the end of the game. Think some form of clarity is important for those at the game.

It may have been clear to you watching on TV, it certainly wasn't clear to anyone at Stamford Bridge. When Maitland-Niles (?) did his Tom Daly we did not know that this had been reviewed. When the review of the Fabregas/Welbeck incident took place no one round me had a clue what was going on (play had continued for about a minute ending in a Chelsea corner). we were about 70 yards away and, after initially thinking he was waiting for a substitution, thought there must have been some suspicion of handball from the cross cum shot leading to the corner.  The finger in the ear signal did not get through.

The delay in getting the decision after play stopped may have been only 36 seconds but seemed an eternity to the Chelsea crowd.

These matches are testing the system. From both games it's clear that something has to be done to inform supporters at the game what is going on.
