Jam Tarts 1874
Celtic will appeal and it won't be heard until after the cup semi final due to the Easter Holidays. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39616097
jamboy1982
Time this appeal thing was sorted out. Clubs are almost able to choose which games a player or manager miss. If they appeal and lose the ban should be increased.

They put a memo out before the weekends games saying any reviews wouldn't take place until the 28th. Nothing to see here.

The Treasurer
On what grounds are they appealing ? It would be hard to get a more clear-cut example of a straight red for violent conduct. They should be hammered for blatantly manipulating the system.

Are they themselves not guilty of cheating as well. Appealing an obvious red card for a dreadful foul in the knowledge they have no chance of succeeding just make to make sure Brown is available for the OF match is cheating imo. Samuel Camazzola
Who cares. It's Rangers they are playing. Let them get worked up about it. Exactly. Isn't this the same guy a lot of folk state is useless etc..? If that's the case, Sevco fans must be happy he will be playing if they think he's that bad. Stephane Grappelli
Who cares. It's Rangers they are playing. Let them get worked up about it. Correct. Also, if the unthinkable happens and the Dons **** up next week I would rather have a strong, treble chasing Celtic waiting for Hibs in the final than a weak, crazy as a shit house rat Rangers like last year. Mikey1874
Brown is scheduled to get a few weeks off after the semi final. So wouldn't be playing during any ban likely to be 2 matches.

I guess Liewell hadn't explained how they could work the system to Napoleon at that point. It's the SFA/SPFL (or whoever conducts the reviews) who need taking to task here. Nobody should be surprised at the victims reaction.
BervieJambo
My issue is why reviews are not taking place this week. This again shows the SFA up as tin-pot, unprofessional and worthless. Surely people are expected to be working on business as usual during the football season? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

jamie1874
If they do appeal it, the ban should be upheld and increased. That happens in junior football to stop clubs from appealing to get players to be available for important games. Agree it should happen at all levels

Pasquale for King
It's a futile appeal done for one reason, it should be increased but he will probably have it reduced to a yellow. Mr Sifter
Why don't the powers that be bring in a weekly meeting regarding appeals. Say every Tuesday morning? If ANY team wants to appeal ANY decision from the weekend, it's dealt with at the Tuesday meeting. The same time. Every week. And everyone knows the drill. Is that too hard for the cavemen at Hanpden to implement?

graham
Scottish football is goosed!!! Shooter McGavin
Absolutely no hope left in Scottish football. TurboT
Wow - Even the Celtic fans I've spoken to have said it was a straight red card. Clear red card ofdence. And primarily because Hallyday wasnt sent off Sunday being the real reason rsther than what is documented. The sellik players and management more or less instructed the panel (via the media) that they had to reduce it to a yellow because of the Halliday incident. After all these things "even themselves out over a season" I'd say it's now opened a whole new can of worms with appeals coming in by the bucket load citing this as grounds for reducing assaults to a yellow card offence
