And the other lot of racist nasties in Reform Ltd are on, I think, 15%.

On third of the country is saying that they are prepared to tolerate nastiness and racism. Only a very few of them stand to benefit with back-handers and dodgy deals; suggesting that the remainder are just nasty racists.

Plenty people being turned away at the polling booths due to having the wrong ID.

Voter suppression working as intended.

Ridiculous policy. Pretty sure voter fraud numbers were negligible, talk about making a problem out of nothing.

Yeah big story about a veteran (old soldier ) being turned away because his veteran I'd card not being accepted .

Could be the tories are blocking traditional tory voters 😆

So a bottle of wine drops in size from 70cl to 568ml.

100% it will cost the same.

Early days yet in the local election counts, but so far with 136 of some 2,600 results declared, the Conservatives have lost 26 of 47 seats they held last time.

Historically and statistically speaking John is quite correct.

Still early days for how bad its going to be. Just lost half of their council seats (122) but still another 800 to declare.

People seem to be most interested in the various major results.

Bit of a dilemma brewing for Tory MPs now, after the local elections disaster.   Follow 30p Lee and defect to Reform ?   Trigger an internal leadership contest in hope of electing an even further-right-wing  nutter  (a white one presumably) ?   Or just join the substantial list of Tory MPs who are standing down  at the GE ?

I do wonder of this is a bit of a publicity stunt by the BoJo team, it keeps him in the news and plays to the loveable buffoon image they like to portray him as.

Hmm.... it would be quite a "cunning stunt"  :whistling:  if that's the case.

Meanwhile HM Govt's  environment  target change has been successfully challenged in the High Court (again !).   The ruling seems to suggest that the original targets bore no relation to their subsequent actions.   Back to the drawing board apparently.    Its doubtful if any Minister gives a feck though, since their days in office are numbered.

Braverman and Badenoch are both too dim to realise that they have a certain je ne sais quoi which the bulk of the Tory party find unpalatable.

It leaves Penny Mordaunt, whose one notable success in her political career to date has been to hold a sword vertically for a short while.
