luckydug Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I love Still Game even though I despise Scotland. We sort of gathered that. Your not called Uncle Tom by any chance ? Quote
Jamhammer Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Even though it's set in the West I don't find it that Weegiecentric meself. Me Ma, who is Welsh loves it too and is made up it's on down there. I also love Father Ted. I suppose humour, a bit like football teams is very subjective. I can't watch stuff like The Mighty Boosh or League of Gentlemen. Toast of London is my current can't miss. Quote
Captain Price Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I absolutely love Still Game, so much that I could probably recite (near enough) every episode word for word. I think this is gonna be a load of shite though. Will be more than happy to be proven wrong. Quote
jamborich Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Horrendous, can only get better I suppose Quote
Placid Casual Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) Brilliant. Father Ted was/is total pish. Edited October 7, 2016 by Placid Casual Quote
Bauld Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Slow start but it was not bad. Next episode with the moonshine looks like it could be good. Quote
Ryan Jarman Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Got better as it went on. Had to adjust myself to the new cameras. Quote
StSow Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Couple of chuckles, not much more. Disappointed Quote
jambos are go! Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Better than I expected. And a lot better than last years Live show. Quote
peter_hmfc Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Absolutely dreadful . I know I said I wouldn't watch it but I knew I'd resort to it eventually. Fans will have waited so many years for that . Better than Father Ted aye ? Strange people. Quote
Maroon Sailor Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Thought that was pretty poor tonight Something not quite the same about it Quote
Maroon Sailor Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Did they have canned laughter before ? Quote
peter_hmfc Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Very poor and forced comedy. Exactly, it just seemed so chopped and desperate. Quote
martoon Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I thought it was okay. The Winston/bookie thing is a drag now and I didn't really see the point of the brother, but some funny moments in the hallway and bathroom with Isa, Jack and Victor. Didn't know the Pete the Jakey actor had died. I think he was the PE teacher in Gregory's Girl. Quote
William H. Bonney Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Winston's brother was terrible. The dog was funny as was jack and victor searching the pebbles for the key. Quote
peter_hmfc Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Strong reason to believe that Amy MacDonald will be guest starring in the new series at some point, I'd be genuinely surprised if she didn't. My prediction is that she'll play a barmaid at some point in one of the episodes, even if only for one scene. Good because I like her, bad because I think she'd make an utterly shite actress . Quote
Maroon Sailor Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Ronni Ancona is a guest in one episode as is Neville from Auf Wiedersehen Pet Quote
Siphiwe Tshabalala Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Winstons brother isn't an actor he's a lawyer. He organised the live show comeback. The writers were doing him a favour. Quote

Costanza Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 No, the society on it. Strange comment. Not as strange as folk saying Father Ted is pish but strange nonetheless. Quote

Gorgiewave Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 . Peter is a No voter. This is a Good Thing. He seems not to be a Still Game fan. This is a Bad Thing. Like Queen Victoria, he is not amused. Quote

JamboX2 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Laughed a few times. Not as good as the old shows. That was to be expected. Will need time to find its feet. The Winston's brother bit had nothing in it at all. None whatsoever. Why bother with that? Overall 5/10. Must try harder. Quote
ƒιѕнρℓαρѕ Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 No, the society on it.GW before he emigrated Quote

chester copperpot Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Chuckled at a few bits but pretty disappointed. The show introduced a new word into my vocabulary though. Clackerbag Quote
Darren Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Watchable. All the series had some duffers and a few crackers. Quote
