How does it work in terms of who can play, is it purely on age? That means Souttar and Zanatta can both play tonight, right?

No overage players as far as I know is in the rules so dario and Soapy could and should play.

Can't see them risking Soapy with Sunday in mind

Souttar is too old. Zanatta and Godonho are eligible though.

What are your thoughts on tonight? Will Stirling be too strong do you think?

How does the age cut off work again?

I think they will struggle as I said earlier in post #10

Eligibility rules in Scotland use calendar years.

If you are 19 or younger on 31st December 2017, (born on or after 1st January 1997) then you are eligible to play U20 for the whole of this season.

Souttar was born in 1996 so is too old. The same applies to Liam Smith, Angus Beith, Robbie Buchanan, Robbie Muirhead and Nikolay Todorov who were all born in 1996.

I see, cheers for setting that straight. Would be good to see a couple of our fringe first teamers make it tonight though, hopefully Zanatta and Godinho get a turn.

Stirling Albion @ 11/8 looks an absolute stick on

Sadly, this.

Some good prices for senior teams. Difficult to call at this stage of the season though. I've gone:-

STIRLING v Hearts u20

CLYDE v Partick u20

Inverness u20 v ARBROATH

Ross County u20 v BRORA

Pays 78/1 :)

speaking to my st johnstone pal and then have 8 x 16 year olds and 3 x 15 year olds in their squad for the game against Turriff, he is piling it on Turriff at 18/5 long with a few you mentioned

If all the u20s squads were full of just under 20s, this including them in the competition would be fair enough but most are made up of 16 to 19 year olds.

They will learn little.

Bringing back the reserve league would serve us better.

What I was thinking. Maybe even -1.5 on the handicap.  Looks like that's around 4/1.

Looking forward to tonight but expecting nowt from the match.

The idea of big Russ up against a couple of late 20s centre halfs is a worry!!

Haha I got 4500-1 on all 8 tonight losing. Just ?1 though. Then 60-1 or thereabouts on 4 of them losing.

Feel a bit for Arbroath. Beaten 7-0 by Caley on Saturday and now having to play the Under 20 side.

We have genuinely looked decent on the ball at times. Morrison looks like the wide man knocking on the 1st team door, dario poor.

Why are Clyde 12/1 at home to partick u20?!

Stats dont seem to suggest they have lost players etc.

Do you think Mclean will ever make the first team? I remember being excited by his signing. With his height you would think he would be causing all sorts of problems. Seems to miss a lot of chances.

Binos have upped their game. Jones having a torrid time. Looks like he's running through custard at times.
