pablo
There is truth in this actually. Walter and Ally don't like him as he went Mod Edit He is not going to be a Rangers player for much longer, because he is not wanted and has a poor relationship with a lot of the Scotland guys at the club for one reason or another. If Jefferies does become the next don of Hearts (I think as of this morning it is now between him and Ashworth) then a one year loan makes perfect sense. Boyd loves JJ and Locke, is unhappy at his club, and a year long loan would not be a stupid move if he wants to assess Hearts for the long term or try for a move down south. He needs first team football and I would take him for a year, even in the knowledge he would score 20 goals and then simply leave. I now look forward to some telling us that Kris Boyd is no better than Callum Elliot and that I am Hibs fan and hopefully a reliable opinion on this matter. That's more like it. Guest jackdaddy2008
Utter Bo{{ocks. Next. Why is this utter bo((ocks? Apparently it was more or less a dead cert with Mcgoo, and will prob happen if Jefferies returns with Locke. There seems to be a lot of anger on here whenever someone makes a hint/suggestion, but without any explanation. I have two questions - Would you be happy to have to have Kris boyd in a hearts jersey scoring goals? Did you complain when we were linked (rumoured to have bid) on him when he was at Kilmarnock? Jammy T
I obviously cannot say. I work for people who know. I think it was Rangers that approached us actually from what I hear. I have seen him out in Glasgow myself, very 'ALERT'! Oh well, the discipline at Hearts with its players is just the environment Boyd needs for him to sort himself out
Guest jackdaddy2008
Well, I can see why that would catch anyone's attention, as he normally looks, sounds, and plays (until he pops in a goal or two, obviously) like he's just woken-up or is under sedation! However, as londonjambo so rightly points out, you maybe want to be a little bit more careful in the content of your posts, so as not provoke a certain pipe-smoking, sash-singing Glaswegian solicitor, with bizarre facial hair, to swing into action. Even if you have seen certain individuals apparently doing certain things in certain Glasgow establishments , it would be shakey grounds upon which to defend a defamation action. Did I write "as he went through a drug binge stage with none other than our other favorite old firm striker - Mr. Deeky Riordan." without typing "allegedly" in between the words 'he' and 'went'? Oops, If I could edit it, I would, stupid sticky keys!

He's an advocate not a solicitor but your point is valid nonetheless. See the piece copied and pasted below Libel and Message Boards Posted by: Quinneth Paltrow (IP Logged) Date: 26 October, 2007 13:41 Interesting... Three Sheffield Wednesday supporters who posted anonymous abusive comments on the "Owlstalk" website may soon be receiving a libel writ in the post. The football club has obtained an order from the High Court requiring the site's administrators to hand over the e-mail addresses of the three fans. Although the posters used pseudonyms, they may now be tracked down after deputy Judge Richard Parkes agreed that their posts "may reasonably be understood to allege greed, selfishness, untrustworthiness and dishonest behaviour on the part of the claimants". So beware!! Quite. GC

Seymour M Hersh
ahem. it's DEFINATELY a rule in the premiership. No doubt about that. It was invoked quite recently. http://www.pitchslap.co.uk/index.php/defoe-cant-make-spurs-comeback/ plus, I think the SFA might have something to say if the English FA took juristiction in scotland. So we still don't know if this applies in Scotland as you may have noticed that Pompey play in the EPL and it was the FA who invoked this. Even although it does not appear in their own rules and regulations.

I think Clum is gash but he would be in double figures if he played regular for the OF. not that he would, but you know what i mean.

That Irish boy Stokes was banging them in for wee Falkirk and leading the league in scoring before going to a much better Sunderland and his goals weren't so plentiful. I don't buy your arguement. And no I don't 'know what you mean' when you say Clum would be in double figures if he played for the Hun. Nonsense. How many did a quality striker like Cousin finish on, or Darcheville. Makween
Totally bizarre rumour. Don't see why I'm even doing this the credit of an extended answer, but I'm bored so here goes : Kris Boyd is already an experienced player at SPL level, so Rangers would gain nothing whatsoever by sending him out on loan. If he was that far out of the picture for next season, they'd just sell him and probably get a half decent fee for him too. Even if they bizarrely did decide to send him out on loan to us, why on earth would he want to come?

Guest jackdaddy2008
The 'rumour' about him leaving Rangers has been floating around Ibrox and Glasgow for months. Even Boyd himself said he is assessing his future this week. I don't have the quote and I am not looking it up, but he said something like - "week off then think about my future, we all want to be playing every week, and that isn't happening for me here. I have to think about Scotland as well." Apparently it is between us, Birmingham and another club, maybe Aberdeen. If McGoo had signed, Boyd would have probably been his first signing. He should watch that caffeine intake though, can't be good for a young footballer. Del1812
A loan deal would make perfect sense from a Rangers point of view. They are after Kenny Miller and are looking at other strikers south of the border, Boyd's already precarious position in the squad is looking worse. I just don't think Smith rates him at all, never gave him much of a look-in at Scotland either. It may seem weird considering he had McCoist for all those years but Super Ally was like Boyd in that whenever Rangers suffered a bad patch it seemed to be McCoist who took the fall. Plus McCoist is generally a decent guy to be around and Kris Boyd is an arrogant, lazy ******. Still, Smith will know what the moody git is capable of so there is little chance of permanently selling him to anyone in Scotland. Sending him on loan would be perfect in that Boyd could hurt everyone else in league barring Rangers should they utilise the option of putting a clause in the contract stating he can't play against the Huns. It means he can still hurt Celtic without hurting Rangers. I still can't see it though, Kris Boyd strikes me as someone content to play the bit-part player at Ibrox rather than try and better himself.
