cosanostra
That may be true. They have rights too though. Correct. No one has the right to tell them not to make arseholes of themselves.
Sooperstar
And in that one sentence you have defined your ignorance. My whole point is that you can't be tolerant of one thing and not the other, regardless of the spectrum. Either you're a tolerant person or not. You cannot be selective! I'm not a fan of parades in general, not really sure what they achieve. However I will defend to the hilt people's right to march for whatever it is they believe in. That is tolerance. I am more than happy to be intolerant of racist bigots. I have no issue with that whatsoever. I've not once mentioned tolerance on this thread. There are many many many things which should not be tolerated.

King Of The Cat Cafe
How are the Orange Order racist precisely? Racist, maybe not. They have lodges in Africa with local members. Sectarian, yes. They do not allow Catholics to join and members can be sanctioned if they go to a Catholic Church service, wedding or funeral, for example. This latter bit is often quietly forgotten in many rural areas where communities live in greater harmony. Belfast lodges take a much stricter view. All of this is in the public domain. Not claiming to have an inside track

Rastajambo
i live in Glasgow and there are marches frequently in my area. One thing i have concluded is that they seem to give the instruments to people that dont know how to play them. Everyone was drumming as loud as they could and out of rhythm with each other... Debut 4
Hope the sun comes out today and we see a fine display in all its colour and glory with the drums banging loudly............................ Talking about the famous Heart of Midlothian v Falkirk today of course but will the nippy drummers be allowed in? Or do they just go to away games? :'>
