Loads of Jambos in the crowd, but all seem to be wearing the away kit. Is this because they worried that the home kit might offend our former wartime enemies?

Going back to the comment re Messi having to win a World Cup before being regarded one of the greatest. I was actually against this but after a few I've come to see him almost like Colin Montgomery. Dominate everything in Europe but can't do it on the biggest stage.

I know, controversial

Argentina are doing a good job at getting under the german's skin.

Thought they were trying to tear it off?

Great set up by Ozil but he is still the one German below par this world cup.

In 1986, Argentina won with an 84th minute goal. In 1990, the German winner was scored in the 85th. Just saying.

Saw him playing for Boca in La Bombonera once. He had less of skinhead then, and I thought I was imagining the rat tail as is wasn't sitting that close to the pitch.

For all the players being praised the Argentinian keeper seems to have stayed under the radar. He's had a good tournament.

they're not two hugely entertaining teams, but they'd be a match for just about anyone on their day. Half a dozen ridiculously solid defensive and midfield players putting in wonderful performances today.

Germans starting to edge it on chances missed.

They started the second half badly, but they improved as the half went on. I think they're favourites now for sure.

Also his passing has been incredible. I don't mean the short passes either. He's done some long range defence splitting passes.

Think the subs will make the difference for German, barring a miraculous blip from Messi.

Still think Messi might just produce the moment to win this for Argentina

Biglia is obviously injured badly, because he is doing his best to make sure there isn't any injury time

Messi's been more or less AWOL in the second half, though.

I actually fell asleep for the start of the second half. What a boring game of football.

Didn't think a 0-0 was on the cards

I cashed in my 0-0 bet early - thought there was a goal coming.
