King Of The Cat Cafe

It always strikes me as surreal that everyone who was in their teens (like me) when Abba first got big said they hated them, but now when the band plays an Abba song at a wedding we know all the lyrics word for word.

Im a bit younger than that. I still love them and could sing a good few of their songs word for word.

I'm ashamed to admit I have a copy of a Jools Holland CD and very occasionally listen to it.

All credibility blown, I shall henceforth refrain from contributing to music threads.

I have no shame about what I like because what I like is ******* brilliant.

I have impeccable taste.

Don't know if I've got any guilty pleasures when it comes to singers/groups but a deek through my iPod will show plenty songs I'm not proud of liking.

Is Hank Williams embarrassing?

What about any bluegrass?

I like "rebels songs" whether Irish or Confederate.

I went to see Hall and Oates on Tuesday. They were amazing.

I'm not surprised. They're bloody brilliant.

East 17

I have 'deep' and 'steam' on the iPod.

I've always been quite open about liking east 17. But i have another band of shame. After THE cup final, when a certain Edinburgh boy band from the 70s was played, and we were ALL singing along to shang a Lang, i actually downloaded a rollers album when i sobered up, a week later

Me too. I've grown to realise there's no such thing as a guilty pleasure. There should be no guilt.
