Score flash

Following tonight's games, Rattatooi still leads with 23 points. brownkg is in second with 22, followed by Maiden Gorgie and MalkyMcFrench on 20. The next three places are taken up by Sexton Hardcastle on 19, Jesus Shuttlesworth with 18 and John S 2 with 17. Three more players complete the top 10, and they are all tied on 16 points. They are AndyMcl, geogth and Statto.

As if to underline the importance of Platinum games in this competition, eight of the ten players listed above nailed the Ghana v USA result tonight - so well done to them.

By the way, just outside the top 10, we have 6 players on 15 points, another 6 on 14 points, and fifteen players sitting on 13.

Prizes

We have 72 competition entries, who paid a total of ?432. Taking out PayPal fees, but adding back in a little top-up thanks to JKB management, the total prize fund is ?430. The prizes will be as follows:

First place: ?250

Second and third place: ?75 each

That adds up to ?400. The other ?30 will be a consolation prize, which will be raffled among all entrants, subject to two conditions. Winners of the three major prizes will not be eligible, and to be eligible players have to submit forecasts for at least 14 of the 16 games in the knockout phase of the tournament (last 16, quarter and semi finals, 3rd place game and final).
