The whole flooding of the city thing was not really touched on, was it the riddler or joker I can't recall? Makes me wonder if any spinoff or follow up series will come. Sofia was stunning, those peepers😍

I see the Box of Delights is being shown on BBC4 from Saturday, 7th December to mark it's 40th Anniversary.

Although I have it on DVD, I'll be watching it as loved it as a kid. Even bought the book from the school bookwork club.  Makes me feel old mind you. 😁

Think the Blu-ray is due to be released later this month.

Omg mate, I adored that series and tried to find it on YouTube but episodes are sparse. Tried to get my kids into it as its still a tradition of mine to watch it, but no cgi etc so I had no hope at converting them lol. That intro tho 😊😊

They were,  used to watch in awe lol. So lovely going back to a timeless classic. Remember being pissed off finding out it was all a dream in the end lol

Watermelon String Bag Heh Heh!

So I'm up to speed on Sky eps 1 to 6

Do I now need to wait for the last 4 at one per week?

Not sure I can handle that 😐

I thought that was brilliantly done👏👏

I'd love the see the two scenes on a split screen run at the same time.

Just watched the 1st episode of only child. Thought it was quite funny at times. I did think at the start, how can someone with a weegie accent like Gregor Fisher have a son with a Morningside accent like Greg mchugh? I'm surenill have finished the series by the end of the weekend.

Hunting Mr Nice: The Cannabis Kingpin. BBCiplayer

2× 1 hrs episodes, great story of Welsh Oxford grad who became the world's biggest marijuana smugglers.

Going to buy the book he orignally wrote which named all his accomplices with their code names (which helped the DEA)

His own book, Mr Nice, is a great read. Obviously, he only reveals details that are already known to the authorities. However, the film based on the book is shite.

I see the Day of the Jackal has been renewed for a second season, so I'm assuming it doesn't end as it does in the book/film, or not in this first season anyway

I watched it last week. Unsure how accurate it is but it highlights the horrors of the troubles. Really good acting in it.

Cheers. I had read that last week and my reading of it was that they were upset about being reminded about it rather than disputing how the story was told. Must be hard for the family but it was a story I was unfamiliar with. Watched a lot of documentaries on Iplayer about a year ago.

Was surprised by If on Sky. Way better than I thought it was going to be and good to see Ryan Reynolds playing role out with his usual. Definitely one for the family

Was a good watch, but then you read up on her and find they strayed a fair bit from the truth regarding her husband and his death.

'Cheaters' on BBC. Starts off like a usual English ' Notting Hill' kind of romantic drama but after two episodes it's like ' ok, buckle up, let's go'.

The characters, the script , the comedy moments ..... so well done.

I'm not saying anything about the plot line because there's so many and the subject matter ( that you have no clue is coming) is very taboo.

Each episode is only around 10 mins.

The Walk In (netflix)

Decent drama about the infiltration of a far right group of neo nazi terrorists, starring Stephen Graham.

Day of the Jackal - With reservations about the selection of the two lead actors, it’s been rescued by the script/sceenplay/storyline and it’s actually pretty watchable, although probably best if you haven’t read the book

7/10

Working through Say Nothing on Disney+ now.

2/10, some amount of whitewashing going on. "We're willing to die for our struggle!"

Good for you, I'm not sure how many of the innocent civilians you murdered agreed with your take.

I know what you mean, I was desperate to read the true story bit waited until the end. I wish I never now, it was quite disappointing.

Would have still been dramatic if the stayed close to the real events

I watched A Man On The Inside (1 series so far, 8 short episodes) on Netflix.  Comedy starring Ted Danson as a retired professor and widower who takes an assignment with a private detective agency and goes undercover to investigate thefts in a retirement home.  It won't tax the brain too much, but it's enjoyable to watch with enough laughs to make it worth sticking with.

They do like a bit of blood in it.

I thought Ben Wishaw gives the best performance.

Wheel of Time Season 3 coming in March. First two seasons nowhere as good as the books but still an enjoyable watch.
