This is absolutely horrific: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-15255357 Not a country I know a lot about but clearly one with grave problems. A disgiusting practice, truely shocking. Good on the BBC for the quality of the report. I guess we dont know if it was connected to this issue in any way but I'm glad that Davie O walked out. If the president wants to swan about the national team then the least he should have to do is speak to the players. Better still, he might want to try and sort his country out. Guest Borat
Brave civil rights activist David Obua claims to have walked out on his country, not because he was denied the chance to grill the president on child sacrifice or his corrupt regime, but because he was denied the chance to ask about players bonuses. A hero indeed.

Sergio Garcia
http://www.monitor.c...1z/-/index.html Reading that Obua is looking out for the players in the team that aint as fortunate as him and hoping they are cared for in the future. wibble
We must make sure that Obua is briefed on Blobby's connections to both Hibs and Rangers. If we can light the fire in his heart he will wreak havoc at Beaster Road and Ipox.
wibble
He once walked off the team at Nakivubo and when asked where he had gone, he said he had gone for massage at Kisekka market. ....................................................... However the most notable one was in Mauritius when he was red carded and he instead picked the referee?s red card, tore it into pieces.
Say What Again
Obua abused all the people from Muhammed Kalema who deals with the logistics to the federation chief executive officer. He sent text messages to Anthony Kimuli, the finance minister reminding them he is the heart and soul of Uganda?s campaign and he should not **** with him The star player also sent text messages to the national coach reminding him that he was a foreigner in Uganda and needed to be more cautious about Obua?s presence as his savior. foghorn5
So depending on how you spin it David is a Hero or Chump? How many times do we need to be reminded that a story in the media is only a story if it deems to go against the grain. If anyone goes up against a higher authority then they go up against all that authorities allies too (press, pundits etc) as HMFC have found to our cost as well. I hope that the truth comes out in time and justifies his version.
I.J
So, Obua, who is constantly described as being lazy, languid, far too laid back and gutless, is actually - according to the official Ugandan line - a mammothly egotistical, crazed, self absorbed narcissist who would slit your throat as soon as look at you. Hmmm.
redm
Good grief, this stuff is just mad. Really didn't think he had this sort of capability for mischief in him. They never trained with the team. Before they left for Angola, the whole team was supposed to put on suits as it is the tradition but Obua led the players to rebel against the suggestion and instead told them to put on tracksuits........... He went to Kibuli and in the first incident, Obua slapped a referee during the Coca-cola school competition but he was forgiven, but he later beat up a goal keeper for allowing in a goal and the school also expelled him. Maybe already posted: Obua Lied says Bobby Likes a strop then.
