How can a club with 33 Italian titles (and in true Sevco style, they insist it's 35) have only won 2 European Cups ever - one of them via a final which should never have been played? Milan 7, Inter 3, Juve only 2. It's a complete mystery. :detective:

Oh yes. I know. :policeman:

What on earth has all that got to do with the game tonight ?

Why are you incapable of making your point in concise fashion ?  You ramble on trying to make yourself look clever .

Never a pen. He was going down already. Must be sore for Juve.

It was a penalty.

Soft, but a definite penalty.

Juve have had more, much more, than their fair share of the rub of the green over the decades so, feck them.

I will look at it again in due course.

By the way, I apologise for the 'pish' comment earlier. Heat of the moment stuff.

Good lord man, you don't need to apologise!

1. It's football.

2. You turn the air blue with many of your posts - but crucially, you're funny with it.

He didn't "ram through" Asensio though. He is certainly wrong side and has panicked to get back in. Asensio should have buried it and avoided all doubt. He showed no goalscorer instinct and therefore Benatia has been given a chance to recover

As I said above - Oliver influenced by Real players  (Ronaldo in particularly was a disgrace) and fans all evening. Caved in every time

It was a foul.

Not a pen for me it’s a contact sport and no way was their enough force to push the player over.

Real Madrid were diving all over the place and they got one.

That's the kind of moment where you want refs to be brave and make huge calls they feel are right, regardless of the circumstances. Thought he got it right. By modern standards, that was a pen every time.

Ronaldo was running about trying to initiate contact in the box then following it up with a jump three twirls and a swan dive.

As the BT commentators mentioned, there was a punch-up in the commentary box between the Italians and Spaniards, with the Italians escorted away

Football. Bloody hell.

Of course it was a penalty and you have to have your Italian dark glasses on not to think so

Put aside all the emotion and the defender put his hands on the back of the player then attempted to clear the ball with his leg and missed..penalty all day and if it was for us you would be screaming blue murder if not given.

PS the Italian journalists were not escorted out ...they left came back and joined in on the other side.

Absolutely gutted for Juve tonight, that was some performance but if that was at the other end I would shout for it every time

Ronaldo is a thoroughly unlikeable **** though

Wasn't the great pressure on him that they tried to make out. Was assured ET vs 10 men if he missed.

Funny how people see the same thing completely differently, Vasquez felt merest of touches & went down, never a penalty in a million years ( I wanted Real to win as best chance of beating Liverpool but that was an injustice)

I felt Juve should have gone for the kill in normal time rather than looking for extra time. Some fresh legs and they might have done it, a few of them looked out on their feet in the last 10 and Real were all over the shop at the back.

Fortune favours the brave as they showed for 70 minutes.

Can't blame him for losiing it a bit. Bawsac ref over reacted

His reaction was anything but classy.

Deserved to go, and it was a pen.

Soft penatly.

Though they could have kept Buffon on with the sub keeper  and still they wouldnt have got near ronaldo's penalty.

Sublime finish, dont think ive ever seen a better penalty taken ( and ive followed Hearts through the Jimmy Bone years)

Shame that a team who got relegated for match-fixing now feel hard done from a ref.

Clear penalty for me: Hand on the back plus a leg round the player from behind.

The ref should be applauded for getting that decision spot-on so late in the match.

Agreed, decision took balls, could've easily shat it at a crucial stage. Shame that football is the only sport where pushing a screaming at a referee in that manner can be deemed acceptable

Definite penalty. Lucky the defender wasn't also shown straight red as well. He denied a goal scoring opportunity.  I understand the Juve players were annoyed but over the top reaction.

Not Champions League but didn't want to start a new thread.

The second Wolves' goal from last night wins the goal of the season IMO. I can't see it being bettered. Sublime!

Unbelievable strike. Think if that had happened in EPL or CL the media and pundits would be going mental.

Benetia barges through the back of Vasquez - never a penalty.

Brown barges through the back of Cochrane - Same people...Scott Brown is an animal.

I hate it when rugby is right but that kind of  aggression towards the referee was too far.

The Italians will be desperate to get revenge on England at the Workd Cup.

Oh wait...:robbo:

See that's the thing though, they weren't relegated for fixing matches, they were relegated for "attempting to influence the referee designator over who the official should be"

Something that every club (including Inter) was up to, although conveniently the evidence against Inter was "lost" until after the statute of limitations.

But let's not get into all of that

He did well. Buffon helped relieve the pressure by getting sent off. Might have put more doubt in Ronaldo's mind. But great penalty. As they said on ITV highlights he practices. Possibly one of the greatest role models in game - all he has achieved is from his desire and hard work.
