GarryJ-o-s
Sorry if posted elsewhere. At Murray Park for talks with Rangers. Would be a very good signing if they pull it off, to me though it looks like a way to broker a longer deal at Burnley. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11708/10281886/burnley-midfielder-joey-barton-at-rangers-training-ground-sky-sources

Hendricks
And so it begins. They are going to attempt spend a lot of money they don't have. GarryJ-o-s
One of Burnley's best players this season and named in the championship team of the year. You'd think Burnley would have kept him? I think I read he wants a two-year deal that Burnley are yet to offer, I would think this might be a way of extorting one. I think quite recently Pochettino was photographed with Sir Alex Ferguson and signed a new deal at Tottenham later in the week. Although Burnley fan at my work said the only reason he signed for them was due to Frank McParland, who was head of recruitment, and is now at Rangers. Cruyff Turn
He'll get sent off everyweek up here. Whilst Barton is a thug he's a brilliant player and one which would totally standout in Scotland. I agree, he would be an excellent signing for them, probably their captain and key player. We will have to get our signings right given our budget as both of them are getting set to throw money at next season, there is nothing surer. He was one of the best players in the Championship last season, voted into the team of the season by his fellow pros and would immediately be a complete standout here. Possibly the best player in the entire league. He was playing in and leading a Burnley team that won their league. The Hull team who destroyed Derby today after finishing in 3rd would have won the SPFL at a canter. Would be a brilliant signing by Rangers. Doc Rob
Sad to say that this is precisely the sort of signing we don't want Sevco to make. I'm certain he would be a standout. I still want to know where the funds are coming from for this sort of thing though. They still don't have credit facilities, do they? Also Newcastle's relegation means Ashley will have to sell his stake in either them or Sevco.

He'd enjoy the same protected status as Scott Brown, or Gascoigne in the 90s. It is possible that 'Rangers' will have lost their aura during their time away, but I reckon it will be straight back to business as usual where the officials are concerned. If Sevco wanted Barton they wouldn't ask him all the way to Glasgow - unless he'd agreed terms & needed a medical , maybe ? Which is highly unlikely , at the moment , at least. I'd say this is what is known as a "squirrell" on other websites , designed to give the media some thing to report on Sunday morning - and to take their minds of THAT report that no one wants to talk about. Hendricks
Personally I think he's mellowed a fair bit and channeled his game to show off his undoubted his talent more than his undoubted short fuse. He actually never had a red at all this season. Since the famous meltdown at Man City he has had the following red cards: 2015-16 0 2014-15 1 2013-14 1 2012-13

Will be interesting to see if money has been discussed yet as I would imagine he would have been on decent money in the Championship and could easily pick up another club at that level who will pay more than Rangers.
