DETTY29
It is heart wrenching that the 3rd most effective footballer in Scotland 3 seasons ago may never fulfil his potential through injury. Anyone who wants the best for Heart of Midlothian who disagrees with what I've noted above surely cant have our wonderful clubs best interests at heart. I.J
Is he getting surgery to permanently fit these? I'm not sure why he would. Not only would this not be beneficial in his attempts to recover fully from his injury and play his part in HMFC's continued drive for success, it would undoubtedly hamper his health in later life and perhaps lead to some sort of legal action against the medical profession. Marvin
Should have accepted Burnleys 2.5 mil offer. I have said it before and I will say it again Driver is a waste of space and an unecessary additon to the wage bill. At least Webster is fit (another player I have gave pelters in the past). Randle P McMurphy
there are some unbelievable cockends every time a driver thread starts on here. why anyone would want anything other than one of our best players fully fit again is a mystery to me.who gives a feck about transfer fees? i would always rather see players stay than bring money in. get better soon andy and show us what you can do, even at 75% of what you were you will still be head and shoulders above most in the squad. jock _turd
How can you be a Hearts suporter and come out with that? What a creep, and you are not the only one I am a Hearts supporter and have been for many a long year. I can say what my opinion of Andrew Driver is as freely as any other kickback'er. In my opinion Driver has always been over rated and injury prone to boot. Hearts missed the bus when offers were being hinted by clubs down south...they should have been persued! I do not know the actual stats, but you might be able to tell me. Just how many games has he started in the last three years and what would that be as a percentage of those games in which he would have been eligable to play in. I will hazard a guess that the percentage is pretty low. I have not said he is a wage thief simpley that he is a broken record when it comes to injury. Unfortunately we will have to shell out until his contract it up and no other club will be looking to sign him before then ...or after. Now you can get back to your hmm. sorry Sandy's sock. Frankie Pal
When you've been out as long as he has your bound to get niggles. Unless Andy is a bit paranoid about his knees(and who could blame him) and doesn't trust the Hearts medics. I blame the teams that got rid of the reserve league! Marvin
Has he signed an improved contract extension since his injuries? Oh deary me! And your name is Mr Nice ? I knew I had touched a nerve with my post. In all honesty do you all think had Driver been fit we would have finished higher than third last season, we might have finished closer to the people who dodge soap, but thats all. And yes I call myself Mr Nice, and Its only Driver and Webster (who in my books is slowly making amends and I hope he has another good game today) who I am critical of. Just think the abuse I'd get if I criticised Stevo But end of the day its only my opinion and you dont have to buy into it if you dont want to. And if you are happy in this Andy Driver "love in" then I respect your opinion. So before I leave myself open to more "abuse" I will leave it at that and if you are at the game - Enjoy - hopefully another 3 points today and a win for Dunfermline and all will be well.
