Horatio Caine
Eh? The OP is referring to a meeting between Mugabe and Sepp Blatter, aka Step Ladder (those who watch Hugh Dennis on Mock the Week will understand this).

The Doctor
The FA and a few MPs seem to be trying to topple this corrupt institution, but it looks like Blatter et al are closing ranks since his unopposed election. I'd like to see England and the home nations lead a group of influential nations, big European teams, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and maybe the US into setting up an alternative body. If you can take the countries with the most spending power out of the World Cup and into an alternative competition, FIFA will collapse without the sponsorship. Obviously the developing countries in the Far East and Africa are where the future wealth in football will come from, but now might just be the last chance to have a say whilst Europe still has some influence and power. That's not likely to happen but the big countires could fight back by not tendering any bids to host the world cup circus. That would leave Chip Platter with a rather difficult problem in trying to find venues in S America , Asia and Africa . There's not many to chose from in terms of a capability to host the show. If the big countries don't bid the TV rights income will be affected due to the less attractive times for screening. Cannae wait for the looming fiasco in the Arabian desert.
