I also think he is a good keeper - not sure about Scotland's number 1 though. However it is frankly ridiculous NOT to be grown up enough to admit he is a good keeper. This however, smacks of Rangers offering him this with the promise to sell him for an agreed fee in his contract. I'd be disappointed if he didn't try his luck down south at some point though, as he's good enough to play in the top flight in the EPL. People who say McGregor is pish etc clearly don't know about football, or are tainted by the fact he plays for 'Them'. He's been excellent for 3/4 years now, so this makes good sense from Rangers/McGregors point of view. I think he'll play till Jan, then be sold if I'm honest. I did say rightfully the "current" number 1. A fit, regularlly playing Gordon is better. But over the last season or two, Magregor deserves it IMO. Socrates Posted July 4, 2011 Share Posted July 4, 2011 The thing is, he is a decent keeper (although he does make a number of quite bad mistakes, and he isn't as good as the Glasgow papers think), but by signing him for so long, and on a relatively high wage, Rangers may have priced him out of the market. You would have to be pretty convinced that he was better than you could get elsewhere to be willing to pay whatever it takes to get him out of a 6-year deal, and I don't think that, by Premiership standards, he's anything special.
