Sexton Hardcastle Posted April 1, 2008 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Looking for anyone who owns or has driven this car. Looking to buy one and just wanted to know anyones feelings towards it. Been looking on auto trader and theres quite a lot for sale but with various extras and more miles etc on them. Just to see if anyone knows anything extra i should know before going any further. Robertson9 Posted April 1, 2008 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Very quick car mate! Make sure the engine is dry (no leaks) and the back calipers sticking is also something worth watching for. The interior can be quite rattly on them sometimes too. try to get one that hasnt been arsed about with also! Cant seem to find any websites for local Renault dealers in and around Edinburgh/Lothians. Just on the odd chance anyone has seen anything in a showroom. looking to spen about ?6500 tops. They do have a few niggly faults - leaking shockies, rear calipers sticking, engine / gearbox mounts..... so if you can - try and find one thats still under warranty and get all these things checked out and remedied. In terms of what you get for your money - best hot hatch money can buy at the moment. One thing i'd fault the clio on is its driving position - steering wheel sits at a funny angle.
