8 shot lead now.

Surely that's just too much.

Crazy how far ahead of the field McIlroy can be when he's on his A game.

Definitely the most talented player out there at the moment, by a margin.

Agreed.

It's when he falls to feck that's concerning. Keep a 6 shot lead today and go for pars all day the morrow and it's his.

Cannae stand the yanks and Monty. Both should feck off

He looks absolutely gutted every time he hits his shots! Never good for the nerves :teehee: :teehee:

Westwood must be spewing about that 75 on day one.

Even if he'd just gone round in par he'd have been in contention.

If he's in the last pairing for the final round. I have a sneaky feeling that this may help McIlroy, as he imploded at the masters, cannae remember who he paired with though.

I told my mate on Wednesday not too bet on McIlroy as he wasn't ready mentally to win one yet. He changed his bet to Mickelson

My 4 bets:

Choi +8 missed cut...

Els +6 missed cut...

Mahan +5 missed cut...

Donald +7

Probably the last time he takes my advice on betting :yucky:....Haye to KO Wlad 2/1 :whistling:

Had this on earlier but I forgot after I started to was a Spanish play-off, don't suppose anyone has a live online link? The one near the top of the page doesn't work for me.

Some of the golf rory is playing is unreal, brilliant to watch when he is on top of his game.Put a 5er on him at 16s on thursday morning. Had a feeling he would be there or there abouts but didn't expect he would be so far ahead of the field. Seems to have learnt from the masters fairly quickly (touch wood) which is fairly impressive for a young guy who gets constant reminders in every press conference he does about his downfall at augusta

A par round tomorrow should suffice. Two Ulstermen winning in successive years is amazing!

My bets:

Garcia 60/1 ew. -4

Yang 66/1 ew. -6

KT Kim 250/1 ew. -3

I'll break even if one of them finishes top six and make a tidy profit if two or all three make it.

(Also had bets on Poulter, Chung, Ishikawa, D Kim, Noh and Kang)

Why is the boy Yang wearing a lassie's jammies top?

Was thinking that too

Rory started absolutely brilliantly, he's sealed the title in the first 4 holes for me because had he came out and dropped two or three shots then the demons would maybe creep in again, but he's came out and been incredibly positive and played a blinder!

Go on Rory, get to -20!

Legend. Thank you, I was about to give up.

Looks like he's about to drop one.

Unbelievable stuff nailing that putt. I hope he doesn't try and protect his score by using an iron off the tee again, his play with a 3 wood is outstanding he should just keep hitting that.

Spot on completely. The boy is just genius.

Not only does Rory not look like dropping shots, nobody is even within a shot if he does the worst possible blunder. Only Westwood with an exceptional round could get close to where he started - and that isn't gonna happen

Time to sit back & enjoy this masterclass

He's getting the breaks at the moment.

Saving pars when he hits bad shots and getting birdies when he doesn't!

Stuck a tenner on Jacobson at 8/1 with my Iceland winnings. Go with me, I'm on a hot streak just now. :geek:

Stricker?

Not even in the betting mate, he's down to -3 now and the bookies reckon he's out of it.

I wish I'd done Westwood as he drifted out to 4/1, then bagged a birdie and is now 5/2
