P-Dizzle
Defo genuine. He also changed his location status on Facebook to "Edinburgh" He changed it back later in the day, but by that point I had put 2 + 2 together. Don't joke about these kind of things. Debut 4
Balogh...not sure MacDonald...IN Barr...not sure, sometimes takes a season for some guys to settle. Suso...IN Black...IN OBUA...Out Calum Elliott Out Stevenson, need squad players, maybe thats his best? Glen.. out J Thomson..out Mole...out Stephen Elliot...IN Kucharski OUT There you have 6 spots freed up to maybe get 3 or 4 in of decent quality. Squad needs another freshen up to move on, C.Elliots had long enough to establish himself, Gary Glen looks as though he`s not progressing...cut our losses and get two forwards in next season to add to Kyle and Elliot. heartsfc_fan
All very well saying "player A - OUT", "player B - IN" etc... Pretty sure Obua, Balogh etc are still under contract so we're kind of stuck with them for another year, unless someone buys them (unlikely) or we pay them off (also unlikely). I believe players out of contract (main ones anyway) are Black, Stevenson, Palazuelos, Bouzid, Skacel and Kucharski(?) From the above I'd probably only keep Palazuelos and Skacel.
P-Dizzle
Out of those I'd only keep Black and Skacel. Ruben isn't worth what we're paying him. Although we really need to find some competition for Skacel, his place in the team is too nailed down. He's not been helped a great deal by the rest of the team, but he's looked complacent of late and I would want to keep him on his toes next season. As for binning Elliott...there's ruthless, then there's just plain stupid. Arguments could be made for quite a few of those others as well, and those who are still under contract will likely stay - certainly a better idea than simply paying them off. jambonian
Still can't see what Bryson would bring to Hearts, i've yet to see him actually dominate or at least get more involved in games. Watched him on Saturday and he's no better than what we've got. Last season, Andy Dorman at St Mirren was a standout, passed, scored, made much more of a contribution than i've ever seen Bryson do. Pity he wanted to go back down South. Suso should definitely be re-signed, he's more talent than quite a few others at Hearts, even in Scotland at other clubs. Alan Johnson
I'd bin MacDonald, J. Thomson, Bouzid, Stevenson, Obua, Glen, Mole, and Elliot if we can offload them. Would keep Ruben if we can get him on a reasonable wage. Leaves us with: Keepers: Kello, Balogh, Ridgers Defence: Thomson, Webster, Zaliukas, Wallace, Barr, Jonsson, Balatoni/McGowan Midfield: Black, Mrowiec, Palazuelos (maybe), Prychynenko Attacking midfield/wingers: Skacel, Driver, Templeton, Suso, Novikovas, Robinson Attack: Kyle, Elliott, Smith Bring Smith and Novikovas back from loan deals and promote Prychynenko, Ridgers, Robinson and either Balatoni or one of the McGowans. Sign a right back, centre-half who can cover left back, creative midfielder and a striker to that and we're stronger than we are now, probably saving money in the process. bighusref
My opinion on the players you would get rid of... Balogh...out - Agree.MacDonald...out - Agree. Barr...out - Disagree. Suso...out - ONLY if we receive a good bid, otherwise I'd say no. Black...out - Good squad player IMO. OBua...Out - Agree. Elliott Out - Calum? Agree. Stevenson out - Agree. Glen.. out - I'd like him to get a chance the remainder of this season, but unless he ups his performance/goal rate in those games... Agree. J Thomson..out - Agree. Mole...out - Agree. Elliot...out - Stephen? Disagree. I would add Kucharski, and wouldn't mind a cull of the youngish players. It seems that Prychyenko is now ahead of the likes of Mulrooney, Stewart and McGowan. I note that two of those three do not even have profiles on our own website. That may tell you something about them. As for the "in's"... Bryson...InAdam Rooney ...In Chris Mcguire ...In I don't dislike any of the above, however I wouldn't say that any of those are players I'd love to sign. Maguire ahead of Rooney for me, Bryson would do well but I am concerned he would cost more than he would be worth to Hearts.

Source: http://guardian.touch-line.com/?CTID=16&CPID=17&TEID=95&pStr=Squad_Stats&t=4 They are accurate SPL stats as far as I am aware. I think these stats highlight two things: 1) Calum has done OK in the goal scoring department this season. 2) Goal scoring is not the only way to measure a forward's performance. I would suspect that if you were to look at assists then Temps and Kyle would be way out in front with quite a few, then Steven Elliott with a few, then Calum with none. I would imagine pass completion stats would look similar.
