Sadly, wholly believeable.

I was going to suggest the Gorgie Jungle make a 1 off return to give these idiots a slap but wouldn't want to advocate violence

Terrible thing to happen to a wee boy but 2 things spring to mind after reading this.

First, why does someone from Clackmananshire support a glasgow team, and secondly what is hun thinking about calling his son Aiden !!!ohmy.gifohmy.gif

Thats the only bashing Hibs have been able to administer all season. :whistling:

Poor stuff, hope the Hibee is proud of himself.

Sad thing now is that Rangers will look to return the favour when Hibs go through there. Hibs have no class. They will attack normal football fans no problem, even if kids and women around. God knows why the police aren't around to make their presence felt or at least provide something of an escort, hopeless. Hope the wee man is alright. When he's all grown up I'm sure he'll have his revenge.

I've met a few of the glory-seeking Alloa Hearts fans over the years. They might have some views about whether Clackmannan folks shoud support only their local team.

Back on topic, let's not fall into the trap of using this incident to generalise about fans of a particular team. This is the work of idiot hooligans, not football fans. Unprovoked violence is bad enough. Unprovoked violence against a child, words fail me.

I never said people should only support their local team, but we all know that people outwith glasgow only follow the OF for one of 2 reasons, bigotry or gloryhunting.

Anyway I don't want to take this thread off topic so we'll leave it at that.

Used to be an Alloa Bus back in the '80s - used to leave from outside the Town Hall as I recall, good bunch they were too.

The Hillfoot towns - Menstrie - Alva - Tillicoultry - etc are chocka with Rangers fans.

I used to sit next to the Alva guys in Row 26 of Section G. Good bunch of lads who travelled to the game in a transit van and seemed to enjoy a good drink along the M9.

His father should have had more sense than to take an eight year old to that place on Wednesday night.

I am NOT defending the violence, but you don't place your children in a place of possible risk.

My daughter is 19 now and I'd be very ashamed if I ever put her in a place of such risk.

Nonsense.

Expected response, pc or not, where large crowds gather of opposing persuasion, is no place for children, in this case particularly, not on a school night. Hurrying home and not taking the time, to explore a safer option of travel or route.

Indeed. It was 4 "hibs boys" against Aiden and 200 of his 8 year old mates!!

p.s. the outcome was never in doubt as the "hibs boys" ran them!!

If a wee laddie can't go to the game with his dad, on a properly organised supporters bus, and be safe, then it's a sad day or Scottish football. Lothian & Borders finest are at fault here, as the area where visiting supporters buses are parked should be well policed. hibs casuals?...sh!tebags, the lot of them

That sums the ccs up,low lifes that have been doing similar stuff since i was at school.Attack the mob of the other team but not the fans as they come for the game and not a roll about the street.

Terrbile that hibs casuals would attack any fans but when there are kids present it is the act of cowards. i hope the wee laddie is okay.

My son is also 8 and we were at parkhead on wednesday and easter road earlier in the season and will go again in april. They are big games and my son excepts to go if I'm going. Looking back at those 2 games I mentioned we took no more risks than we would going to tynie we mind our own business and get to the game and home again.

Correct absolute nonsense.

My son slightly older at 12 but he was at Celtic on Wednesday will be at Ibrox next week and never misses Easter Road.

You have to be sensible and not once in all the 6 years I have been taking him have I felt I have put him in any sort of danger or predicament

That's right!

Just give in to the vermin!

The reason I'm a Hearts supporter is that my uncle took me to my first game when I was 9 years old.

The reason my two young brothers are Hearts supporters is because I took them to Hearts games!

The reason my offspring (age 41 and 38) are Hearts supporters is because I took them to games when they were kids!

You don't ban the kids, you get the vermin!!!

Well done L & B's finest! You want to get your priorities right!
