We don't know who is in for him so no idea how you can judge whether he has made a bad choice. Maybe Hibs are the only club that has made a genuine offer to sign him ? It'd be like, say, Ian Holloway going from Blackpool to a team that are below them in the league who are undoubtedly bigger clubs than Blackpool despite being below them in the league. Folk can brush it off as much as they like but it would be a decent signing and show a bit of intent which has been lacking from Hibs. I haven't seen much to make me think he is special, he may turn out to be good but I don't think it is the certainty that some would have you believe. What is true, and surely undeniable, is that Hibs are buying him with a view to selling him on, a la Stokes. Short term impact and steady profit is Petrie's plan with this one. Oh, and don't even try to convince me that this is a Calderwood signing. I am sure they will rally against that as much as they did when it was happening at Hearts....
