cosanostra
Really looking forward to this one tonight. Do Arsenal have the love spuds to step up and beat one of the big 2 in the League? Are Chelsea, with the return of Lampard, going to finally break free of their horrible run of form? Arsenal always seem to lose their heart when it comes to the crunch. Against Man United they were absolutely pathetic. With Lampard and Drogba looking likely to start, I can see Chelsea sneaking this one and reigniting the title race. I'll go for Chelsea 1-0 with Lampard scoring the goal. edit: I've changed my mind, Drogba is going to score the winner.
The Merse
Hard one to call here. Arsenal really must be doubting themselves after so many failures against the top teams in recent years, and as you say they were abject against United again to say the least. Arsenal can't afford to go behind. Will be rooting on them to get a win as always like to see them do well.

I.J
Wouldn't normally care about one of the matches between the top 3, as they're invariably mince. However, got a good feeling about this one, so going to the boozer to lap up the action. IJ says: 2-2.
Tyrion Lannister
1-1, and a reasonably **** poor game at that as these "big" games all seem to turn out pretty disappointing. Both teams see it as a "must win" game in order to prove they are serious title contenders, so in theory it's got the potential to be an interesting one.... (But most likely in reality it'll be boring and they'll cancel each other out.)

cosanostra
Arsenal are playing well without really cutting Chelsea open. cosanostra
Chelsea not really doing much, are they? Mikel is a poor player for this level of football and Kalou / Malouda are lending little or no support to Drogba. Ancelotti has much work to do if he's going to get anything from this game. Zibi
If Chelsea had actually shown some ambition they would be probably be winning the game. There defensive tactics are backfiring big time. There not Scotland ffs they have the players to destroy Arsenal.

The Merse
They're looking a team devoid of ideas and spirit. Have Chelsea even made the Arsenal goalie work at all yet? Great finish from Song. They look very poor. I don't think it's all bad form though, just not enough good players either. Long way to go in this game but a defeat here would be brutal for Chelseas hopes of winning the league and really would put them under pressure for CL qualification. Arsenal, Utd, City and Spurs could all easily finish above them. A win for Arsenal will see them right in the race again too, they'll have played both their matches against Chelsea and also Utd away, whilst Chelsea and Utd still have to play twice. Gigolo-Aunt
Chelsea look a side low on confidence with some players looking at others to step up and get them out of this run. When you look at the Chelsea bench, the lack of depth is obvious - mind you, don't really rate a few of the ones starting for them tonight. Fair play to Arsenal, mentally this would be a huge win for them. Walcott is such a frustrating player to watch.
No Nonsense
Chelsea look like the classic example of a side with too many players out of form. You can sometimes carry one or two, but there is not a player side performing to usual standards, bar Ashley Cole and Cech. I'm sure they just need to catch a break somewhere and form will start to come back, but whether it comes soon enough to save Ancelotti, is another thing. Arsenal, on the other hand, really need this for their self belief. Should be an interseting second half.

S.N.T.H.
Does anyone have any idea why Wilkins was sacked / left yet? Not really heard any theories as to what went on. He was speaking on Sky Sports this morning with Kamara and Shepherd and basically he hasn't had a reason. It certainly wasn't Ancelotti's decision, that's for sure. His contract just wasn't renewed by Abramovich and his yes men. Pitty though, as hes one of the nicest guys in football.
