JKB and charitable donations - the last word for 2010

As you all know, whenever there are some surplus funds available once we've paid the running costs of JKB, we like to make contributions to Hearts-related or charitable good causes, and recently you might have spotted threads letting members know about donations to the Hearts Youth Development Committee and to Erskine.

This is our final announcement of 2010 about such a contribution, and it's to let you know that we have decided to make a donation of ?1,500 to the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust. This follows our donation of ?600 to the Trust earlier this year, and you can read more about the Trust at this link:

http://www.heartsfc....,,10289,00.html

We've already let the Trust know about this contribution, and we're in discussions with them about whether it will take the form of a general donation or sponsorship of a specific project. We'll let you know about that once a decision is made, but in any case the contribution will go ahead in the first few days of 2011.

We'd also like to let members know that this donation is a bit of a landmark for Jambos Kickback. The total amount that has been contributed to charitable causes and player kit sponsorship by JKB and its members since we took over the management of the forum in 2008 has reached five figures, and now stands at ?10,380.

Thanks very much to the members of JKB, especially our subscribed members, who have helped this to happen. It is a considerable privilege to be associated with you all.

All the best to you and yours for Christmas and the New Year from all of the management team at Jambos Kickback.

A staggering amount raised from a little football website.

Well done to all involved, imagine how much we could give if the mandatory subscription fee was raised to the stellar fund of ?10 per annum.
