Why the sudden Joe Hart love in? Good keeper but the best in the league? Really?

I also can't believe nobody has included Reina so far.

Cech

Hart

Reina

Robinson

Gordon/Given (couldn't pick between those 2)

Reina makes to many high profile errors imo to be considered one of the best goalies in one of the best leagues.

Van der sar

Reina

Cech

Freidel

Harte

I would then choose

Howard

Given

Jasskelinen/Gordon.

People need to calm down with the Gordon is thur best keepr in thur wurld chat. He needs to prove it at the highest level first.

Van Der Sar was at one time probably the best keeper in the world. If we are talking about currently though he is probably past his best.

He was superb last season and I have no love for Man UTD.

Dr. Sheldon Cooper

In no particular order: Joe Hart, Craig Gordon, Pepe Reina, Petr Cech and Shay Given. It amazes me that two of the best goalies in the league are at Man City and arguably, the better of the two doesn't even play.

In no particular order, VDS is not in it as I think he is past it now.

Cech

Given

Friedel

Jaaskelienen

Gordon

Mr Romanov Saviour of HMFC

Van Der Sar

Reina

Cech

Friedel

Hart

Cech is rapidly dropping down the list while Hart is rising all the time. Van Der Sar is still the master. Reina has the best distribution of any keeper I can think of.

Cech

Hart

Gomes

Jaaskelienen

Surprised at the lack of Gomes mentions, he's turned in to some keeper the last season or so.

AP and Scott ken the score as usual.

Perfect lists.

How Cech is making these lists i'll never know...

Van der Saar

Hart

Friedel

Schwarzer

Reina

In no particular order.

Gomis would be 6th for how good he became under all the pressure and his consistently brilliant performances.

So you leave out Premiership winning goalkeeper Cech and put in Schwarzer?

He's a bombscare at set pieces so shouldn't be in a list with the best keepers IMO.

You put Craig in the top 5 goalkeepers in the premiership so excuse me if i don't change mines...

I reckon if this question was posed on a teams board other than a HMFC one, then Gordon wouldn't be mentioned at all.

Exactly... It's ludicrous to put him anywhere near it considering he can't get a game over Mignola ATM. As good as he was for us he's not been half the keeper at Sunderland because of injuries and a horrific defence.

Anyone putting Hart in front of Gordon is mad, Hart is a good goalie, but Gordon is better.

You can't just compare the Gordon that played for us and the current Hart and completely disregard his form at Sunderland...

I'm not, I have not disregarded his form at Sunderland at all. Have you actually watched him play for Sunderland or just read occasional things and general comments.

Seriously? Like genuinely, I think you are a wind-up sometimes, other times just thick as shit. No offence like.

Petr Cech has won tournaments, and is probably one of the best goalies in Europe let alone the Premiership.

Friedel is about 40, and is not as good as he was IMO.

Schwarzer

Petr Cech one of the best keepers in Europe

His positioning is pretty bad, his keeping at set pieces is absolutely terrible & His form has been dipping for over a year...

His form has been dipping from it's peak of about 3-4 years ago, yes.

But would you genuinely say that Friedel and especially Schwarzer are better?!

Never in a million years I'm afraid.

Thanks for trying, though.

Cech doesn't really do anything special imo.

1. Given

2. Hart

3. Gordon

4. Howard

5. Mucha

1. Van der Sar(very rarely makes high profile blunders aside from just being a great goalie)

2. Reina.

3. Cech

4. Given

5. Gordon(bias? maybe, but in all honesty, going by last seasons reports and what we all saw from highlights etc..he saved Sunderland many times in the fashion we know he can and i can`t recall any blunders. Faultless handling again and a strong character who, i have no doubt, could perform at a bigger club....puts him above Hart because he`s proven consistent)

I'd say on current form... Yes.

There is no doubt Petr Cech WAS one of the best in the world about 4 years ago but now he's not even near the best in the Premiership... IMO of course.
