Madjambo21
BUMBLEBEE Took my son to see this and both enjoyed it. Plenty robots fighting to keep him happy and lots of 80's music and references to keep me interested. 7/10 BIRD BOX Science fiction thriller with Sandra Bullock. Some sort of entity that if you see it you kill yourself. Reasonably good film but not as tense as a quiet place 7/

Unknown user
Ideal Home 7/10 Steve Coogan and Paul Rudd are a rich gay couple who end up having to look after Steve's grandson. Feelings ensue. I get bored very very easily so it's a minor miracle I got through such a slow moving film. Once I got past Alan Partridge and Crapbag from Friends being a couple it wasn't awful. I smiled a couple of times and got to the end, a rarity in a film without excitement, drama, action or tits. Not my normal cup of tea but deserves a decent score for getting me to the end without a single tantrum or walkout.
Dawnrazor
Holmes & Watson. 3/10. Watch the trailer because all the funny bits are in that. Will Ferrell by numbers, a very poor effort saved only by John C Reilly who is brilliant and Rebecca Hall in a basque. One for the Will Ferrell die hards. @VladMagic
Watched Casino again last night with the GF. Warned her it had some pretty disturbing scenes in it which didn't bother her. Its mainly about their trip to the UK in the late 40s early 50s where incredibly they played to some half full houses. But carried on regardless. Stan was inconsolable when Ollie died. Stan was the brains and creative genius behind their success. Ollie knew this and had no jealousy about this but he obviously made them a success too. Today's so called " talented" double acts should take note. * Ant and Dec !! Their films and short films are sometimes shown on Channel 81 Talking Pictures which is a great channel if you like old films. I do. Ollie died in 1957 and Stan died in 1965. rudi must stay
I, Daniel Blake Heard great things, but I find Loach's films sometimes very one dimensional with rubbish characters and this seemed an unhappy slog so I avoided it. I was very impressed by this though, well acted, lots of excellent sub plots and scenes. Not much bad to say about this one. If you want a good independent film that has controversial things to say (rightly so too in my opinion) then it's worth a watch 9/10 Edited January 6, 2019 by rudi must stay
