Combo1974 Posted June 4, 2010 Share Posted June 4, 2010 It's been a long time in the planning but our SPL Pound the Grounds event takes place this weekend. The event is in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and will see 50 volunteers running 1 mile in each of the 12 SPL Grounds on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will be spent running the West Coast and Sunday the East. Our aim was to raise ?10000 for this fantastic charity and we have smashed this target raising over ?16000 to date. This is a phenomenal amount that has far exceeded expectations. We have had fantastic support from many people and we have had some really good publicity via the local press, Hearts website, Celtic website, local radio and tonight we appeared on the STV News!! Delayed it for a year when ICT looked liked they were going down and am getting it done before they come back up!! For the Hibs leg we are doing their training ground as Easter Road is a building site. To be honest all the clubs have been great and have been only to happy to lend their support.
