GHQ is good on a wednesday, pound drinks so cheap aswell. Also shanghai, but i think the drinks are full price, so if your going to go, be ready to pay 3 pound for a vodka mixer !

George street isn't a bad bet on a Wednesday night.

Lulu's, Shanghi, Opal Lounge.

Or if that's not your scene, Cab Vol. City or Cav if you're a student.

went to cab vol.

1st time ever in there.

harrowing experience when your sober & seeing everyone fall flat on ther hoop lol

only 1 room open downstairs so it was a tad overcrowded.

it was a sausage-fest to start with then got chatting to a wee 19 year old

being my age that is a result, but got quickly to the stage where she was drunk & i really noticed how immature the younger generation is,

so glad i have what i have, sometimes you dont know how lucky you are until you go out & speak to people on a school night.

I am presuming 'Bantz' is short for Banter?

Pretty poor.

I recently had one of those customer review things at the Bank. After enquiring what i had been up to at the weekend the customer adviser replied "Ooh banter".

What's this all about?

"Yeah, i was at a wedding reception".

"Ooh banter".

Eh?

Have i missed something here?

I f*****g hate the word.

It's ubiquity is becoming incredibly annoying.

Its prevalent use as a noun is one of the most disgusting things about modern society IMO. File under "RAAAANDOOM!" in the cabinet marked "marks of a sure fire arsehole".

However, I might add that I'm loving the use of the word "harrowing" earlier in the thread - underused word, and one of my favourites. It has a great comic touch when used in an inappropriate situation.
