Dont shoot me here but Livi may be the fifth largest going by that 2006 list that was put up. I am sure I saw a sign up in Livingston Centre saying it had a population of over 100,000 people.

 

I think that shooting you might be a bit over the top over a matter of statistics. :santa1: As they say, there are lies, damned lies and statistics...

 

Anyway, Livingston as a locality has a 2006 estimated population of 54,430. As a settlement (same year; including East and Mid Calder) it is 62,810. The estimated population of West Lothian in 2006 was 165,700 and in 2008 was 169,510, so even given natural population growth I can't see how Livingston can claim more than 100,000 inhabitants.

Haven grown up in Livingston in the 70's I can recall the old Livingston Development Corporation estimate was the population would eventually level out at 70,000.
