conn artist
anyone been? i managed to get the last two tickets to this fixture on sunday. both teams are seperated by a point and lie 2nd and 3rd. my seat is in the upper section 2nd block from the right. all the hardcore are behind the goals on the right. so the atmosphere should be well decent. looking forward to it. anyone got any other non football related tips for vienna? Spend a lot of time in Vienna and get along to watch Rapid whenever possible. I actually tried to make Austria Vienna my Austrian team because of the obvious connection, but to be honest, and despite the greenness, Rapid is streets ahead in terms of atmosphere and passion from the supporters and overall a much better place to watch a football match. As for Vienna itself there's nothing you can't do there. Depends what you're into.

For art, the Kunsthistoriches Museum and the Belvedere are great; a lot of good pubs and restaurants; a safe and compact city centre to explore on foot; at this time of year there will be a lot of Christmas markets, if that's your sort of thing; for something different, go to one of the Heurigers (wine gardens) in suburbs like Grinzing and sample the local wine and traditional grub. Check out the daily, open-air, market at the Naschmarkt: the best doner kebabs I've ever tasted!
