jambojackbilly
When it first came out it was like a breathe of fresh air, put a quid on and hoped upon hope that your lucky day had arrived, no great loss and their was always next week Then those that run the gaff sneaked in Wednesday and if you picked the same numbers or not, you felt obliged to purchase in case that 14 million to one chance occurred Since then all sorts of guff has been added as if two draws was not enough, prize money has also dropped substantially. Won a tenner last week and was looking at the prize money, outrageous 57k for 5 + the bonus 570 sobs for 5 numbers a whole 37 quid for 4 Fair enough if you strike gold but at least reward the investors if they get near A pound 14yrs ago so ain't what it is now I say one draw 2 quid a dunt and more to the less fortunate winners Rant over

jambojackbilly
The Lottery is a tax on the stupid. Your ?2 suggestion would inevitably make you worse off. Tax on the poor arguably, it's also a gamble thats not compulsory Most people dont mind a wee flutter, i would like to see it fairer The two pound IMO is relevant to inflation
blairdin
The lottery is a farce. It should have been awarded to Branson to operate properly.
Acey
Three numbers gets you a tenner for a pound, right? Just think; had you played the Irish Lottery (only 45 numbers, btw), you'd have gotten over six hundred quid for three numbers...
Chris Benoit
I got 5 numbers 12 years ago and only got ?970, it's always been unfairly balanced to make the jackpot look better
Cade
When Richard Branson ran for the Lottery licence, his plan was to have many more smaller prizes intead of one giant prize and feck all for everyone else. He lost and Camelot carried on with thier greed-is-good system.
Carl Fredrickson
Branson also was going to run it as a "not for profit" lottery. All profits were to go as prizes or distributed to good causes. Camelot had too many folk friendly with those awarding the tender. Re the Irish lottery - how much is it per ticket?
