I'm told this is really being hammered into Refs over here and unfortunately it appears that the result is that they dare not risk letting an incident of simulation ( real or perceived ) pass them by Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That was not a dive! It was definitely a penalty!!! So now, not only does your team not get a penalty they should have - bad enough - but the potential of a sending off!!! Talk about referees ruining games! It's only going to get worse!!! How about leaving simulation to a retrospective booking on viewing video evidence? That way the ref doesn't have the pressure of booking when he doesn't give a penalty!!! Just as a penalty should only be given if the ref is certain (and in Hearts case, if the linesman agrees) - so, unless it's blatant. no booking for simulation should be given. .................
