Del1812
Adam could have had 4 but laid the 5th goal on a plate for Jose to score instead. That pretty much sums up exactly the type of player he was.

Buffalo Bill
It's on the video* (*still a popular medium back in '97/98) that the club released after that season. I'm trying to remember the name of it. Glorious Hearts? Anyway, it was a great game, with over 16,000 there. Killie were never out of it until wee Jose killed them off at the end. McCann, Adam and Fulton were all outstanding that day. A breathtaking game of football; and a great advert for games outwith the old firm. Buffalo Bill . ibpc
Didn't have a season ticket then but got a seat near the front in G or F. By the end of the game the guy in the next seat, who I'd never met before, and me were bouncing up and down and hugging each other! That's what you hope to see every week. Buffalo Bill
Just as an add-on, there were loads of great games during 97/98. Both home games v Aberdeen in particular. 4-1 and 3-1. Stunnng goals. Hearts gunning for the double; highest scorers in Britain by Christmas. History shows we won the cup. But we should've won the league too. In the last few weeks, it seemed like nether Rangers or Celtic wanted it. ...and let's not forget how Hibs did that year. Buffalo Bill .
Gavsy Van Gaverson
All I know is that I was absolutely steaming at this game. A bit of a shame really as I can't remember any of it. I was 17 at the time. Not much has changed.

I still think we threw the towel in too early that season as we wanted to concentrate on the cup final, we really could have won the league that year. IIRC we had a 1-1 draw at home to Motherwell and then somehow lost to a pishy hibs side at the egg, and of course they claimed that it was them who ended out title challenge when infact it was ourselves. weegie jambo
remember that game very well as it was the first time I'dd ever taken a girlfriend to Tynie. She thought it was great, 8 goals, 3 of them scored by a sexy Frenchman, I told her not to expect that every week, think the next game we went to was a dull draw! The girls gone but the memory remains.
