Lobey Dosser
Looking for a cheap higland break 21st-26th september, any recommendations ? Stayed here for a friend's wedding. Was absolute bliss. Brilliant if you're an outdoors-y type. http://www.lazyduck.co.uk/
Jambonairn
Depends what your looking for in your break? Action packed (outdoorsy type)? Golfing? Lazy few days? Aviemore is a cracking place to go and hotels/log cabins are good value and generally of good quality. As I say it all depends on what your after in your few days? trinity jambo
just back from a weekend in aviemore. Plenty to do up there and brilliant scenery. Well worth a visit.
felix
I'd try Stoneybridge, or as Walter Scott used to call it - Stoneybridge! It's got facilities and a stoney bridge. Lovely.
winchester 73
I've always liked Fort William. Nothing fancy, what you see is what you get. Plenty to do if you have a car. Good for a pub crawl along the precinct if you dont. You could visit Britains highest mountain, get a steam train to Mallaig, get a boat to Seal island, take a gondola up Aonoch Mor, get pished etc etc.
Boomstick
Inverness is a good night out. I grew up in a wee village just outside there, Beauly. It's nice but not much to do. Aviemore is probably your best bet. A
