Deevers Posted July 30, 2009 Share Posted July 30, 2009 Don't know whether many people will have noticed this over the summer - but Hugh Dallas has now officially replaced Donald MacVicar as the referees supremo at the SFA. One of his first actions was to appoint Drew Fleming. another ex Glasgow based grade one, as his deputy. Fleming was surely one of the biggest non entities around when he officiated and it's a bit of a mystery as to why he's got this post. Looks like nothing is going to change as far as refereeing standards are concerned in the foreseeable future with the game here being heavily influenced by match officials from the West of Scotland, with the good old Glasgow boys making sure that nothing affects that status quo.
