Randle P McMurphy
Off to Florida soon and I know the regulations have now changed re gaining entry to the USA where you have to register on the ESTA website in advance of travelling. I googled ESTA which is the acronym for Electronic System for Travel Authorisation, through the US Dept for Homeland Security. Search results in numerous variants on ESTA i.e. esta.us/apply estaservice.org etc. The problem is that the majority of these sites are actually third party fronts who charge you for a service that is actually free through the proper website. All they do is act as the middleman where they have you complete all the details that are needed on the legitimate site, they in turn then send these details to the proper site having charged you for completing the same information you would have anyway. The US powers seem to have accepted this scam as there is a part in the actual application form where you declare if you have completed yourself or as a 3rd party. The actual website address to use is https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/
