jamboBG
Dimitar Berbatov and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have much in common. They were born in the same year, are their respective country's most expensive footballer, and represent one of the biggest clubs in the world. Characteristically, too, they are comparable; strikers with swift footwork that belies their tall frame, a capacity to score tap-ins or from distance, and a penchant for unpredictable flair. And while the similarities between Berba and Ibra may be apparent, FIFA.com wants you to separate them by deciding who is the better player. http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1029528.html#berbatov+ibrahimovic

Hilarious -- did you miss the fact that Ibrahimovic won a towering header and flicked the ball right into the path of Stankovic for what turned out to be the winning goal in a very important game? He was a beast all match against a very experienced (and yeah, maybe a bit creaky) Milan defence.

Statto
Ibrahimovic is one of the most overrated players in the world. Did you know, this season, he is the joint-top highest paid player in the world (along with Kaka), earning about ?166K per week, he's also the most over-paid player in the world. He's not bad, but not that (?166,000) good. To put that in perspective, Messi earns ?10K less per week than him (?156K), Terry and Lampard earn ?26K less than him (?140K), Henry and Eto'o earn ?28K less (?138K) and arguable one of the best players in the world Cristiano Ronaldo earns ?41K LESS then Ibrahimovic! - over ?2M per year less. Dimitar Berbatov earns ?90K per week, ?76K LESS than Zlatan Ibrahimovic, nearly ?4M less per year. As for individual talent, it's probally quite close, but in terms of value for money, it's Berbatov by miles.

$ilvery_Moon
Both fantastic players but for me it's Berbatov for several reasons: His physical condition is better and he's had less injury problems. They're both strikers and a striker's job is to score goals. Berbatov is the same age but has scored 50 more career goals than Ibrahimovic despite playing for on the whole lesser clubs. An impressive achievement and quite a large margin. Berbatov's international goalscoring record is also far superior despite playing for a lesser country. 41 goals in 67 games for a team as poor as the current Bulgarian team is quite incredible. He's a more reliable team player, and as proved above, a more reliable goal threat. Ibrahimovic is very talented, and probably the more skilful of the two, but he can be greedy, selfish and lazy. I like Ibrahimovic but he's vastly over-rated by many. Skilful player, good goalscoring record, but definitely not the world's best like some claim. Francis Jeffers Proved yet again tonight why he's a complete waste of oxygen.

Running through that little list, I'm going to suggest what I think the above players should actually be paid. Utterly pointless exercise - but it is 4 in the morning, after all... Messi 140K Ronaldo 140K Kaka 130K Eto'o 100K Ibrahimovic 100K Berbatov 90K Henry 75K Lampard 70K Terry 60K Purely IMO, of course. Incidentally, on Berbatov: my doubt over him remains whether he can do it consistently at a huge club where he's not fawned upon and treated as the Grand Fromage. He's absurdly talented; but I wonder if his ego is maybe better cut out to being the biggest fish in a smaller pond? Only time will tell on that, of course. jeramiah
yes just look at christiano ronaldo i like man united but i feel he does nothing in the bigger games What a strange thing to say??? Ronaldo is recognised around the world as a BIG GAME player. He was by far Man United's top scorer in the Champions League, as well as every other compitition last year. His performances in big games is what got him World and European player of the year. It's like saying Pele, or Maradonna, or Zidane didn't perform in the big games. Just utter nonsense. No offence.
