Its the same with the defender that we missed out on. Do you think he is just banking the money he is making from the players that he is getting top dollar for? Thoughts? SupaJT Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but it was mentioned in the metro the other day that the boy Farkas had signed for someone else so its less likely he'll be available in the summer. I'd like to see McGowan given a chance, plenty of people on here rave about him (although others say he's more of a central midfielder). Mind you, the team is very young as it is so maybe it would be sensible to bring in a more experienced centre back to play along side a youth player. It's been done a million times before...however... A) Hearts need to actively look to reduce our debt where ever possible, otherwise the club will be in mortal danger. To do this we need to sell players. Hearts primary recruitment source going forward will be the clubs academy. C) Hearts have still shown that they have the capability to sign players outwith the academy, as the signing of Balogh and pre-contract signing of Ian Black demonstrate.
