Delap fouled him then when he was on the ground kicked the ball into him and Wright-Phillips retaliated by booting him in the leg yet Delap is off and WP doesn't even get a talking to! Strange one. SWP should have been sent off for his blantant swipe / kick at Delap. Remember Beckham at France 98........ For me, should have been SWP - red Delap - yellow Ref's made a shocker. Agree with you there, yes Delap fouled him and kicked the ball into SWP but neither were especially bad or dangerous challenges just a bit daft - SWP on the other hand commits a really bad tackle and kicks back from the ground yet gets nothing??? What I can't understand are the commentators, they all seem to think it was the right decision. I sometimes think they're watching some other game from me. I agree with that, but only because the incident was allowed to go as far as it did. If the referee had stopped the game immediately Wright_Phillips made the initial tackle he could have resolved everything there and then by simply booking Wright-Phillips, and that would have been it.
