The pundit has admitted in a new book that he was a Hearts fan as a youngster, but is adamant his heart now lies with them. Young reveals in Endless Love – a book about St Mirren's move from their Love Street home – that it was his late step-dad who kicked off his support of St Mirren. Young admits sneaking in to watch Rangers as a lad, but added: "What most people don't know is that by then I was actually a Hearts fan. At the end of the 50s they were the big team in Scotland." My mum re-married a brilliant bloke called Alex Rowan, who was Paisley to the core." Eye good son. Supporting Hearts is a "condition". What a plum. I hope those tinks get relegated never to return to the top flight of Scottish fitbaw and sudsequently go bust. That eejit on Real Radio is always saying he's got to pander to the Old Firm fans because they've got the same right as everyone else to call in, and he's on a commercial station.
