Oxford City Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 I meet a few directors of non league clubs as part of my job They invariably complain about how other clubs are better funded and pay their players more it shows them in a better light if they are managing on less. It doesn't mean it's true though... Absolutely and completely true. All football club directors spend most of their time complaining about how every else pays more, how they are the only ones who are realistic.... If I had ?1 for every time I've heard 'we can't compete at this level, we only pay expenses, not like XXXX down the road who have a ?XXXXX weekly budget....'
