Then this reporter says '1902 - same year as Hitler was 13 years old', that's like celebrating his life. pretty sick imo and i can see why people were offended. Hitler's the best know person from that era (early to mid 1900s). Surely that's why he chose him. Not everything has to be dissected until you find another reason why it was said. Then this reporter says '1902 - same year as Hitler was 13 years old', that's like celebrating his life. pretty sick imo and i can see why people were offended. Well, for a comment on the Scottish Cup draw, it seems in a (very) small way to have reminded people of Hitler's crimes and perhaps extended some people's knowledge of the extent of those crimes. Not a reason to be offended IMO.

Westcliff
Our chums in Lochend have never been that great at dealing with the facts and that's all this is. It is a fact beyond dispute that Adolf Hitler was 13 when Hibernian last lifted Scottish football's national cup. The followers of the wee team prefer to float around in a world where they taught Brazil how to play and getting horsed is acceptable as long as they played 'the hibs way' I can imagine some no mark frothing at the mouth spunking most of his giro phoning Sky to complain. it amuses me. Not at all. The last time Hibs won the cup, Hitler was 12 years and 347 days old. He was born on 20/4/1889 and Hibs won the cup on 2/4/1902. Westcliff
Incorrect. Statto.com tells us that Hibs won the Cup on 26/4/1902. The site I looked at ( http://www.rsssf.com/tabless/scotcuphistfull.html#02 ), said 2/04/1902. It is possible they made a typo, in which case Hitler would indeed have been 13 years old when Hibs won the cup. Sorry if I got it wrong.
